This will be the only apology from this woman...take it or leave it...she neglected to express any true remorse ..and the intriguing thing about her words? she said she wanted to thank all of her colleagues that supported her through this...ALL? I've got ten bucks that says minutes after this hit the media, her colleagues began carb-loading and lacing up their Addidas running shoes...she can't even tell the truth in her half-baked apology? She needs to dilate her sphincter, let the helium out of her ego and come back down to earth. Freaking pitiful.

if that was the only intriguing part, that's nothing.
she gave the standard.

did you condemn Delay and (especially) Frist for their own apologies which weren't apologies... over worse issues? or even Cheney when he shot Whittington and turned that apology around to say 'i'm sorry you got in my way, it's your fault'?

if so, cool, you're consistent. if not, why condemn McKinney, but not 'the big boys' who are actually lining their pockets with your money?

well, they all do.

may i ask, which troll are you?

risa darling,
I write with confidence..VP Cheney did not purposely blast his buddy. To bring his name into the fray tells me you want to play three-card Monty with the facts.
The lovely, vivacious, and always Honorable Representative McKinney purposely did not display her ID pin, and purposely made a try at avoiding Capitol Police.

Please, please tell me you are able to make a distinction between an accident and purposeful disregard for, and intention to avoid security rules. The teeth on those two gears simply do not mesh. I would certainly expect that the words offered to express regret for two decidely dissimilar types of incidents would have also have dissimilar locutions.

smackaholic,
It's in my soul..I can't let loose of this without trying..I have an inner need ..a deeply-ingrained sense of purpose to reach out to others..think of me as a white Reverend Ike. Allow me to write something from the Scriptures
this is from The Book Of Luther 4:20
Giveth up not thy attempts at persuasion of those less inclined to believe, lest they fall by the wayside, and hear no more. Giveth up not!..unless thou art freaking thirsty and in need of strong drink, then let the hag do whatever and go have a frosty, ethereal, blessed beer a Saint Pauli Girl.

"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident," McKinney said.

bullfuckingshit!!!! the first physical contact, the officer stopping her as she ignored his request that she stop, was 100% appropriate.

"I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all, and I regret its escalation and I apologize," she said surrounded by colleagues on the House floor.

it wasn't a misunderstanding. it was a pompous bitch thinking that she doesn't have to play by the rules. the officer didn't have any misunderstanding at all. I hope somebody tazors that cunt, the next time she pulls this shit.

If, immediately after the fact she said, I am sorry. I fukked up. I interfered with an officer doing his job. My actions were completely inappropriate and inexcusable. I hope officer bob accepts my apology. It will not happen again.

Had she done this, it would be over and done with. Too bad the only person in congress with the balls to call a spade a spade, in this case is DeLay. Atleast the dems didn't try to defend her.
