Yeah I know. Don't give me your bullshit.
This recording of Thunder Road from 78 at Winterland (on Wolfgang's Vault) is fucking classic.
Even if he was using Conan's drummer....

Man, I have a live bootleg album of his somewhere. I really need to get that sucker on CD.
One day I will. Springsteens early live recordings were awesome, stuff, so much energy. I never saw him live, but I was in a rock band that did a cover of Rosalita (come out tonight) Great stuff.

I just wanna know when exactly platinum-selling, stadium-packing Springsteen turned
into Woodie Guthrie.
Well, I guess everyone's allowed to re-invent themselves.

re-inventing ???

showed up toting an electric guitar !!

I just wanna know when it became a requirement for a musician, or any artist for that matter, to maintain some particular style in perpetuity.
I guess if their sole purpose is to avoid confusing or alienating some dumbfuck fan they'd better stick with what got them there, right? Of course we all know that "evolution" in any form is a fantasy.

not necessarily "evolving"--
but trying out different things--
ask this guy about "Trans" !!
and I liked it

Nebraska is fucking amazing. Blonde on Blonde kicks more ass than acoustic Dylan.

Sorry. I know we may be backwoods and don't right unnerstand the hi-falutin' citified types like you wif you Boyz II Men and Wingers. We Missourah folks likes to listen to Uncle Tupelo, Flying Burrito Brothers and Neil Young's Harvest while we diddle our sisters.

Maybe Springsteen should stop acting like he's about to hop on a freight car, or
open a can of beans at a hobo camp.

And both are mascots for Big 10 universities. Please remind me which community college calls Kalamazoo home?

Huh?
Of those, Rogers comes fairly close to sameness in his career but the dude has a fucking ROCK RESUME' that should get respect, Stings solo shit is mostly the same but it's way different from his early Police work, and the other two have been all over the map.
Bowie more varied than Clapton, but hell, how can you lump them all into one category and make that statement?

I probably do seem like an Ivy Leaguer to someone from Kalamazoo Tech. With a nic like Screw_Michigan, you’re obviously bitter about not having the intellect to make it into a top level university. Sucks to be you.
