Never watched that show. Now I have a few questions for you. What's your take on the papparazi stalkers? What have you heard about the stalkers from others you work with? Finally, though most would consider dealing with a constant plague of photographers a pain in the ass to say the least, I was wondering if you've run across anyone in the business who actually enjoys that shite.

Thanks, and here are a couple of games for you to enjoy for answering this survey!

Asking Jess about celebrity stalking is like getting advice on dating women from Cicero.

You poor bastard. That was one of the greatest shows, let alone sci fi shows, ever... even when they took some serious missteps (the Dr. Beckett frees the ancestor of Dr. Martin Luther King being one of them .. for me; I never got to see the whole Evil Jumper arc, they were moving it around on the dial so fucking much by that point.. they were intentionally trying to kill it).

But god damn, that show was a hoot and a half.

And Jess is right, that was a great episode.

There was also the episode where you find out just how deep of a sacrifice Al makes so Sam can save his brother. That was the spookiest moment on television, bar none.

I wish I had seen the last episode. I don't know if I would have cried, or gotten very angry for Sam, or felt good. Or felt cheated.

But if you can catch some of the early episodes (and the Lee Harvey arc), do so man.

Jon Erik was hotter no doubt. He had to be gay.
No way a man THAT hot is only banging females
in Hollywood. It's Hollywood.

Meeno Peluce, could take or leave. That 70's hair.. gag.

But I don't know about Voyagers being better, though. That
was the era of the forced 'after school special' endings...
the same bullshit that was tacked on to a lot of video
games, too (y'all who played shit like Bad Boys (?) and
Double Dragon and that NBA game with the two cheerleaders
and other shit know what I mean  ) and poor Voyagers
had to pretend it was an educational show, instead of
just letting the adventures speak for themselves.

But yeah, Voyagers rocked, at 9 years old.

I understand the annoyance with paparazzi, imagine going out to dinner and you got more flashes going off than a stoney thread. Also the lengths some go to get some candid photos is pathetic. But as they say no publicity is worse than bad publicity. If the photographers started stalking me I don't think I would run away just yet.

and if he can catch em, he should.

me, to be honest, i'm waiting for Battlestar: Galactica Season 2B to come out. maybe i'll have cable by the time October rolls around, and I can check out what happens 'one year later'. maybe not. but i do want to see Season 2B. Except 'Black Market'.. it's a damn shame when the only strong black male presence in the entire series... is a kiddie pimp. :? but then this series has always treated black men strangely.......

Yes, it is a stretch. They're the last bit of humanity in the entire universe, every child counts, because every child represents hope that humanity will continue (see the end of the miniseries where the WhiteBoard of Extinction, as televisionwithoutpity.com calls it, is updated by Prez Roslin) ...

so why then is there a market for child prostitution? every child should be accounted for on every ship. every child is supposed to represent something even more precious than before. so how is there suddenly not only a market for child prostitution... but a BURGEONING black market for child prostitution? how are all these people smuggling kids between ships to be used for sex?

that makes no sense whatsoever.

i don't remember if this was the episode during which, or after, the stupid bitch wanted to abort her kid as well because, well, she just wanted to... and there was a lot of aborting of children going on in the fleets. Zero sense. Unless the 'i don't want my child to grow up in a cruel world' angle was discussed. I don't think it was though, I think it was just presented as a reflection of current American ambivalence towards abortion and the right of a woman to do whatever she wants to her body, including kill her kid. At least, that's what i got from the message boards.. maybe seeing it for myself, there are subtleties to the episode that the message board denizens missed.

But these two episodes just sounded like they sucked out loud... with the 'Black Market' one sucking the most, not least because of (again) the only strong black presence in the fleet... belongs to a pimp. a pimp of children.

Maybe season 3 will deal with what type of society human beings really represent, given the 'slice of civilian lives' from those two episodes. It doesn't sound pretty. Maybe Six wasn't lying after all when she was talking about human sacrifice on Kobol.

Ditto. The ending to that was awesome.

When you discover that he was there to save Jackie and not JFK. One of the best endings to a sitcom episode in history.

Sitcom? It was a light hearted dramatic show. It dealt with the civil rites, racism, vietnam, cold war, poverty. Scott Backula has to be considered one of the best modern tv stars going from leaping around to different personas from a baseball star to a pregnant lady to elvis to a woman who had just been raped. From there he took a break but the next time we saw him on tv he was the captain on the USS Enterprise, leaping from galaxy to galaxy.
