RACK him...nothing but class. We enjoyed having him in Detroit for two seasons where he finally got himself a championship. I wish him the best and we'll see him in the Hall in a few years.

Sad to see this day come, I have enjoyed watching Luc since I started following the Kings in 1991. I can assume Torch will not scratch Luc again this season with a playoff spot out of reach. Luc's final call on the 17th against Phoenix, there isn't going to be a dry eye at Staples. Even better would be Norstrom relinquishing the C for that final game so Luc can wear it once again. (He was Captain in 92-93 while Gretz was injured)

He will retire as the NHL's career leader in goals, assists and points for a left wing, and holds the most goals in one season for a left wing as well (63).

One of the classiest guys in all of sports. He will be missed. Next stop, the Hall of Fame.

Defently a classy guy. Good times in Detroit. My funniest memory of him though is the season before he came to Detroit, him and future teammate Chris Chelios got into 2 fights during a game in LA. Never seen him get so upset before - he actually went looking for the stronger Chelios the 2nd time around.

My wife has had the pleasure of working with Luc via FSN the last several years and what everyone has said is the truth. Nice, classy, top notch, great guy. too bad it's got to end this way being a healthy scratch. Hopefully he ends his career on a good note.

my first hockey coach was a huge luc fan and would always talk about how no one thought he would make it in the nhl because of his skating and he only went on to score a billion points.
