Both were first round busts, apparently.
I guess they figured they would trade potential for potential.

He was actually a First team Big 12 WR at OSU and I believe a Biletnikoff Finalist?

I think he meant that in jest, dude.
Woods was probably cast "The Next Jerry Rice" before his first NFL snap in Ninerdom. He's a massive bust, which is sad because he was a sick player in college.
Sammy Davis seems like a shit-heap as well.

Mike, I predict that he'll miss the 06' season with a papercut, and he'll be back to doing what he loves best. Fishing.
Does Sammy have potential? I saw that he at least played in most games.

...you never know with D'backs IMO...The general consensus on the Charger board is "Bust for Bust"
http://forums.chargers.com/showthread.php?t=30167 Davis was highly touted and a first round pick who never really developed to expectations. I wouldn't count him out, he's still young and it seems to take most corners 4-5 years to really get up to speed in the NFL.

Well, if it's any consolation, Woods seems to be finally healthy after being injured for most of his time with the niners.
The guy has talent!
I just think you may have a head case. Good luck, you'll need it.

That says it all, mvs. Denver was statistically one of the worst secondaries, yet they had tons of talent (Champ, and the two rooks Foxworth and Darrent Williams, plus Lynch and Ferguson). But upon closer inspection, we see Denver had one of the lowest SACK TOTALS, yet San Diego's was very high, making it even more obvious how shitty SD's secondary really is. Even with a pass rush, they looked (and played) like dogshit.

Let's put it this way. He wasn't good enough to start on an absolutely atrocious secondary.
:? :?
Another Niner first round pick gone bust and gone away . :x :x
Carter , Woods , McQuarters , Peterson , Stokes , Reggie McGrew , Druckenmiller , Kwame Harris .......
With the exception of Harris ( who will be on the bench this season ) , none of those first round picks are on the team anymore . Most of them sucked too .
Like the Niners do now .
