Who here has an interest in Robotics??
I do, mostly from an investment point of view ( "See the Future, Be the Future" POV ) . but also from a "Toys and Entertainment" POV..

I can say that I have had a little experiance in robotics, although nothing too serious to call myself in any way knowledgable on the subject.
In High school I took part in FIRST, which is an international competition for HS students who build robots to compete in a yearly competition. That year we had to take hoops and put them on a tower. It was a fun competition even if we never really got out of the local competition.
Since then My exeriance has more been with consumer products, and some toys. I am currently thinking about getting one of those iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaners. As someone who still rents, I think it would be great to spend $200 and never have to clean and still be able to say...hey I do my part and point to my robotic vacuum.
What kind of stuff do you invest in?

The decent roombas are in the low $300's, but still worth the investment. Best vac I ever owned.
