I had a buddy who swore up and down he was going to be rich. He started "working" for Equinox. Of course he tried to get me into it as well as others. I'd ask him "well exactly what do you do?" All the fuck would tell me is how great this opportunity is and i'm getting you in while the gettins good.


About a year later Equinox got busted and all the money he had "invested" was gone.


Point is everytime I've ever been approached about a great business opportunity none of them could tell exactly what the company sells just that I need to get as people as I can to join in.

Exactly!!!! I get these idiots that I run across talking about making money and want to get my last name, e-mail addy, phone number, etc. yet they NEVER tell you what the fuck they do.

They either sell vitamins, Amway, air filters, or some shit. If you live in a country where "family" is abundant and are generally big time consumers with money, then I can see it working. I just don't see Mexico or South of them being able to continously spend money they don't have to make you a good living.

I remember getting asked by American Express Financial Advisors (now shockingly under a new name) to come down, and go through thier interview process after I left Bloomberg Financial.

My first impression of the AXP douchebags was they wore cheap plastic suits and were there on weekends trying to sucker people in.

You take tests and then they put you in a room and have you write down the same shit e just talked about. I looked them up and it was like what Merril-Lynch would do and then take over all of your accounts if you didn't make your quotas during proation.

I went in there two times to make sure my instincts were right and saw what other people told me about them. I've also heard about it in other similar businesses from a few peeps.

One thing in common for those that work in those businesses... they don't walk the walk and don't really make what they profess to make. They get your money and contacts to use for themselves. Why would they ask you to give them a list of your own potential clients?

when people won't tell you anything except 'you'll make a lot of money', it's time to leave. when the actual way to make money is to sign up more people to get commissions on their entry fees and membership fees, it's time to leave, then call the state attorney's office and the better business bureau (even if they are worthless, not everybody knows that) -- except some of these groups get abusive.

I used to sell a customer acquisition solution to various industries in need of exclusive leads. One of our biggest markets were these MLM losers. We literally had a blast as salespeople sharing stories with each other of these idiots and what they'd say over the phone.

One thing they all have in common is they all live in a fantasy world. Lies are also prevalent, but that goes without saying. They lie about their "product" (there isn't one). They lie about how much money they make (which in turn gets other gullible losers to buy into the hype and join). Almost all of them fail miserably. They all own these hand-me-down websites with pictures of rednecks and their testimonials on how they made eleventeen gazillion dollars in 2 months and how it's changed their life.

What was most interesting (and fun) was when I asked these delusional dipshits to hand me $7,000 for our program after they just got done telling me they make a 6 figure income, and maybe 5% would even do it, despite the fact our program would dramatically improve their pipeline and income if they had even a sliver of salesmanship. That right there proved why these people are, on the whole, fucking losers, and why you too are a loser if you are in one of these Ponzi schemes.
