Mr Destiny

Mr Destiny was on the other day, and if you havent seen it, basically Belushi's character feels that the reason his life is just avg is b/c he struck out in the Baseball State Championship game. He wonders what would have happened if he hit the game winning HR. He gets his wish granted and learns that if he would have hit the HR, his life would have been drastically diff as far as job placement, money and stiyle of living.

Does anyone here have a moment that they think drastically changed their fortune for the good or bad and made a huge difference in the path that their life, career has gone?

For me, it would have to be living in Korea and Japan as a child. They start school a year later over there, and by me going to Kindergarden and 1st grade, they placed a heavy emphasis on studying and reading. Not only that, when I came to the states, I was always the oldest in my grade b/c my b-day was in August. I think it played a huge role in shaping my attitude and confidence. Instead of being the youngest in my grade, I was always the oldest and thus was the first to drive, turn 18, turn 21. It allowed me to be more of a leader and not a follower.

Yes.

But the issue isn't that his life would have been better had he not struck out. The issue is that his life would have been better had he not wasted so much regretting striking out and wondering if his life would have been better had he not struck out.

At least that's my experience, my life started improving the moment I got off my ass and stopped wondering "if".

My life improved the day I could browse porn at work on the computer, as well as the day Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC all merged into one fast food joint.

Actually, douchebag, the point of the movie was to make you appreciate what you have. The grass is not always greener, etc, etc...

I see you working though. While most of us are out there actually trying to improve our lives on a daily basis, you kick back and lament the fact that your worthless degree from FSU in Bong Management has fucked you for life at minimum wage. Stop dreaming, dipshit. You are what you are. That ditch ain't gonna dig itself.
