Unfortunately; this is one of those iffy sitches where a parent needs to put up as a PARENT, or pray and LOVE the shit outta the kid no matter what.

Many 15 yr olds are now at the 'know it all' stage, which I think is why they have all those 'hire a student' programs.

Whatever this poor mother does, the child will appear to hate it, which will rip at the mother, but if nothing is done, there is a real good chance that little miss up and coming biker chick is headed for a life time of pain.

Iffy for the mother is; to much tough may drive the kid to the street, making things worse for the little snot; yet the kid has a serious flaw which needs to be nipped for the better good.

I suggest that the mother rub heads with someone at a local social service agency which get's to see this sort of crap all the time.
Get someone there to talk tough with her daughter, and possibly look into if there is a kid bootcamp like rehab dealie for this sort of thing in her area.

If all else fails, there is always Maury.

Some of the best advice would be for her to secure her valuables. Nobody sells and doesn't do, so clearly she is doing. If she's doing meth, she WILL begin to steal from her mother. Otherwise, mom should take her directly to the police and work to get her in some program before she is too far gone. Moving to a different city would be the best thing and just start over.

She won't do any of the above, though. Tell your friend he should steal mom's valuable jewelry and stuff and sell it. Blame it on the little skank and claim BODE!

My stepdaughter, at 17, will chase anything that wears long pants and is at least 5 years older than she is. :twisted: The internet was, literally, a rude awakening for both my wife and me. She used to give out our address to anyone, and on one occasion we had two guys older than me show up at our house looking for her.

She's gotten a little more savvy about this as time has gone on, but she'll still sneak behind our backs if we give her the chance. Staying one step ahead of her, while juggling other little challenges of life such as a job, is not an easy task.

My son has ADHD, ODD and IED, so he could be an even bigger challenge as a teenager. Fortunately, that's still a few years away.

So many school projects require the internet these days that it's next to impossible to have a "no internet" rule. But she has to ask first, and I'm not averse to looking over her shoulder.
