Pujols is the best hitter of our generation. Yes, better than Bonds as he's hit above .300 with high HR and RBI totals WITHOUT bathing in the cream.
If there's a hole in his swing, please send this information to Brad Lidge and just about every other pitcher in the NL. They've yet to find it. Moron.

Joe's missing the bigger picture. Let's just assume Pujols does have a hole in his swing...with it, he's still the best all-around hitter in the league. If he's got a hole in his swing, and he's still crushing balls, what does that say about the deficiencies of the pitchers he's facing?

Anyone who doesn't bat 1.000 has a hole in their swing.

Albert Pujols is currently, IMO, is the best hitter currently in the MLB!
Okay, For argument sake....
Everyone has a weakness..
From FoxSports..
National League pitchers find few ways to consistently retire Pujols. He can occasionally appear anxious on offspeed pitches away, a strategy Boston used with some success in the World Series. And it is sometimes possible to jam Pujols with high, hard stuff. However, he turns on the best hard stuff with amazing regularity, and pitching him away runs the risk of him using his remarkable power to the opposite field. Pujols has always been an outstanding breaking-ball hitter, and his mastery of the strike zone improves each year.

He does have holes... they are just very small!
****
An immature poster would say he has a hole where he Poohs! It is called his
Pujol!!
Good thing, I am not an immature poster!!

Just checking in to remind everyone that Pujols went to Fort Osage High School and was drafted out of Maple Woods Community College.
Maple Woods is like 5 minutes from here, and the softball coaching staff tried like hell to get my daughter to play there. She refused.
So what am I saying?
Basically, that I'd like to line up the Royals scouting department and entire front office management staff to face the firing squad for allowing Albert to go undetected from right under their noses.

MW is a junior college. She's got a scholarship to play ball at a 4 year university. Despite being a smaller NAIA school, it's very reputable. She's anything but a dumbass, dumbass.

You want us to congratulate your daughter for turning down a JuCo scholarship all because Pujols, who plays baseball not softball, was drafted from there? Yeah yeah I read the little blurb about the Royals but local teams miss prospects in their backyard all the time and he was drafted in the 13th round so every team in the majors had a shot at him.
Why you felt it was necessary to mention that your daughter turned down a scholarship offer to a JuCo in this thread is beyond me. Be proud of her accomplishments but please spare us the obvious attempt on you part to make your daughter seem like the second coming of Jenni Finch. No one gives a shit and it had nothing to do with the conversation.

the thing about Pujols this year, is he has NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO protection
which is why his homers are up, he knows if he doesnt homer at;east once a game, the cards might not score. the nationals series was a true sign, he was trying to take pitches he lines to right for singles and pull them to left for a homer!
all of this and he is still tearing the cover off the ball!
oh yeah, did i remind you guys that hes still signed for 6 more years.
i guess the 10 year 100mil deal was a steal! if turds like Damon are getting 12mil(why in the fuck

), then what the fuck would Pujols be getting as a rfa?

Some of those numbers can be misleading. 1.000 could be either 1 for 1 or 10 for 10. That .000 can be 0 for 0 or 0 for 10. Those zones with the lower BA could be areas where he doesn't have many of his at bats. If he's got a really good eye, the majority of his at bats are the red areas. I'd like the see those zones with the number of hits to at bats instead of average because at this point in the season, it's still very early to critique hitters based on their average. There are 19 hitters right now over .335...the top average from last year. I don't think we'll see that hold form...only 3 of those guys are over 100 AB.

This coming from the guy who posted a pic of his wife in a hospital bed after just giving birth?
Here's a clue, slappy.
I give a shit, and that's all that matters.
My daugter IS better than Jennie Finch!
Maybe someday, if you don't fuck up as a parent, you'll be proud of your kid too. I wish you the best in that effort.
In the meantime, I'd advise you to keep your smack headlights switched to the default mode.
lowbeams....

Have you had too many crashes with the forklift, champ? You seem to be slipping. The pic I posted was of my daughter, my wife and myself and the thread was about the birth of my daughter. The picture was completely relevant to the topic or did you miss that?
This thread is about Albert Pujols AND NOT about your daughter's softball career. But you could not resist mentioning some benign factoid involving your daughter turning down some stupid scholarship to the same JuCol that Pujols went to. Who the fuck cares? One has nothing to do with the other.
The next time someone starts a thread titled "whitey's daughter's softball career" or "what schools did your daughter reject that an major league baseball player went too?" I'll be sure to look for your post but until then stop tripping over yourself trying to impress this board with pointless information about your daughter's budding softball career.

You know as well as I do that she'll be starting her career answering the phone at your fork lift gig soon enough.

Can you really bitch about the Royals scouting though? As a Royals fan myself the only thing I think we have to be proud of is that we develope the best talent that the rest of Major League Baseball can buy.

So therefore, it's ok to post personal info as long as YOU started a thread beating that particular drum, but it's not ok otherwise?
Gotcha.

Are you always this clueless, or do you just play the ignorant fool on the internet to amuse people?
Newsflash: Threads often get off topic, and people tend to grind the particular axe that they're interested in grinding...whether you approve of it or not.
My initial reply concerned Pujols (whose a fucking baseball god, btw), MWCC, the Royals shitty scouting,
and my daughter, of whom I am well pleased. You got's a problem with that, you can go fuck yourself.
You don't decide what I can or can not post about.
Bitch.

listening to Joe Morgan, one would think that he had a career average of .643, with 1298 home runs and 4592 RBI, while commiting no errors as he played SS and 2B, and he also threw 26 perfect games.

you talkin' 'bout Bonds or Pujols? I haven't had the stomach to listen to Joe Morgan lately considering all his games are Giants games. Guess I haven't heard him since he jumped on the Albert bandwagon.
Best way to get him out is to hit the corners and have an ump behind the plate that won't give him a rock star strike zone as he expects.

I was actually referring to Morgan himself. The way that he waxes nostalgia for himself, the "real players", and talks in a condescending manner make me question watching any game that he is doing color. His smugness literally oozes from my television.

I know they're only projections but according to ESPN, Pujols is on pace for 85 home runs and 204 RBI...
