:rolleyesofepicproportions:

Nothing like wanting to re-elect a mayor who [huge understatement] dropped the ball [/huge understatement] during the worst disasters to hit his city in the last century. I guess some things never change (sup, electing Edwin Edwards four times as Gov?).

I guess we can all look on the bright side, he could always lose in the runnof to a Landrieu. :meds:

So long New Orleans. It was nice knowin ya.

He's only the Mayor, TenTall.

He didn't get Guiliani help at any point.
He *was* promised a bunch of shit
that never came through.

And he did uproot some of the corruption
within New Orleans as soon as he came
into office.

He didn't receive any help. He was
stalled. He was sabotaged. He was
not responsible for the actions of certain
law enforcement that shot guns over
the heads of majority black evacuees to
prevent them from using the one road out
so that majority white parishes could remain
'clean' and 'untouched'.

And even if you do believe he is the orchestrator
of what happened in New Orleans.... were
you one of those who pulled the 'don't change
horses in midstream' line of crap during the
2004 election with Bush? ;)

How can you say he was sabotaged when he waited until it was past too late to order a mandatory evacuation? He knew the hurricane was heading that way 3 days out, but he waits until 24 hours out order a mandatory evacuation. Had he ordered it when he should have, then he would have had the means necessary to get more people out if the city.

It happened under Nagin's watch. He was responsible. Sometimes it sucks to be in charge.

Well, if you didn't, then these guys would declare you "Not of the Body!"

I 'spose cheney stole the coil wires off the hundreds of city owned buses that sat there drowning along with everything else in NO. That would explain why the fukking guy in charge of the city didn't have those buses rolling with thousands of folks that had no other way out.

:hugefukkingrolleyes:

If he didn't get the 50 percent he will lose a runoff. The less than fifty percent shills will stay with him, but, anybody that didn't vote for him will get behind the other guy.

See ya 'round, nagin.

That's a good probability but the other choice is not much of an improvement by any means. Sad.
