Post by The Assassin »

Happy Fudgepack fans? 1 more year of 25-30 INTS.

BREAKING NEWS
Favre Will Play In 2006
Brett Favre informed the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday that he will play the 2006 season, league and team sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Favre shared his decision with general manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy in a telephone conversation on Tuesday morning.

I just hope he breaks Marino's TD record the same week he catches Blanda for the INT reocrd, just because the media will be too busy focusing on the TDs to notice the INTs :)

Whether he was going to play or not wasn't going to affect what they'll do in the draft. The latest rumors of Ferguson sliding to #5 could cause them to pick him instead of Hawk to give Favre some protection. If Hawk slides to #6, I'd love to see the Lions trade up to get him but staying at #9 and getting Huff isn't a bad option either.

Couldn't agree with you more. I was disappointed for Packfans when I heard that he would be back. Favre really should hang it up.

Hater. :meds:

It's not as sexy as Aaron's HR record, but it's something.

Also, if the Packers wish, they could always cut him. I mean... you do know that, right? In fact, I'd laugh my ass off if they did.

Favre is still a very good qb who had one bad season. This year 32 TDs and 16 ints.

Hey Paul,

How do Favre's balls taste... do you ever get any in your eyes?

Favre is such a hopeless tool

....and keep your freaking chin strap fastened.

Just what the Pack needs---another year of BF running around like a moron and throwing ducks into triple coverage. Way to preserve a legacy.

Unbelievable. :meds:
I think I made this arguement 5-6 years ago in this circle of quacks when people were calling him out after the SB years. You may have even been one of the ducks too but obviously I was right then for making similar statements to PCPs, saying he still had 3-4 in him but no way in hell I am pulling it out in 2006. You're blind if you can not see the slow motion reactions and poor decision making that has developed in his game. This is not a reaction from 1 bad season. The deterioration was evident 2-3 seasons ago. He threw up so much garbage that Jevon Walker just bailed him out of. Thinks Jevon is sick of taking those blind side hits because Favre keeps putting him in a position to bail him and The Packers out of? Uh, yea. :meds:

You nailed it. I remember the Raider game he went apeshit on us. I was there I saw the lame ducks he threw and the amazing catches by Walker and Driver adjusting to make them. And the lack of coverage by the Raider secondary didnt hurt either. He showed it again vs the Eagles when in OT he threw that god awful duck that NO Packer reciver was near and got picked off.

All Favre did was hold the Packs rebuilding another season.

And he had 5 different RB's that started for them...also he had the most pass attempts since being in GB....ths Pack is definately better than last year's record!

No dis-respect towards Farve, but if the pack doesn't improve the O-line, he'll be more than just washed up. He'll be broken into itsy bitsy little pieces and served up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Sad to see a legend go out this way.

Dude should just stay in Hattiesburg, retire gracefully, and wait on the call from the HOF in about 5 years.

Rack m2 and War Wagon! (Never thought I would type that in my lifetime!)

Watching Favre play has been flat out embarrassing the last couple of years. He’s no different than a bad college QB tossing the ball up for grabs play after play
