Mexicans no work Monday?

Had a couple of guys come by today that I sell product to,that said Monday the 1st will be "No Mexican will work" day in protest of the pending federalleee imagration legislation.

They said because there plant has so many of them that they are going to close the plant for the day!

Anybody else heard about this?It was news to me.

They talked like Mexicans will be shooting other Mexicans if they go to work that day! Just like striking Teamsters eh?

Equally culpable are the companies and individuals who employ them, knowing fully that they are illegals. It's simply impossible to separate the worker and the employer when it comes to assigning blame.

It's similar to the illegal drug debate. We can burn coca plants in Columbia all year long, but while there are addicts and hustlers stateside demanding illegal drugs, they will be provided.

Thank you PSU, they can pass all the 'laws' they want, but it won't do a thing because the ILLEAGALS don't respect our laws in the first place.

1. Close the boarder and stop the flow of ALL ILLEGALS

2. Impose stiff penalties to employers that blatantly hire ILLEGAL aliens.

3. Give the ILLEAGALS 60 days to finalize their business here and get the fuck out....goodbye.

American business that employs Mexican labor is to blame for the immigration problems:

1. They make alot of money off the back of illegal Mexican labor
2. They will not throw their money at political candidates who would propose to actually do something about the problem
3. It, therefore, would be political suicide to actually produce a solution

If you wanted to solve it, all you would need is an employment card granted to all legal citizens with photo id, fingerprint, etc. that could be tracked in a central database. No card, no work. And don't give me SSN because that's what they use now and you see how easy it is to circumvent that system.

They will be in LA. A Major Grocery store chain is closing for the day, a large produce market that pushes 1 mil a day in produce is closing, and the many, many restaurants employing mexican labor (legal or otherwise) will either close or run rather short staffed. But there are a whole lot of Euros, Asians, and middle easterners who aren't abel to sneak under the fence that have no choice BUT to go the legal route that probably aren't all that happy about it.

I think you're wrong. Over here in carrot country, its not looking good.

Unfortunately, these minimum wage making spics have the ag business in Central Cal by the balls. We have 500+ of them working for my company. We had to compromise to get a workforce for Monday. Employees here are required to work a 5:00am to 10:00am shift on Monday. Therefore, allowing them to "march". Workers who don't show up will be written up. Which really doesn't mean shit.

Central Cal has had this same problem the last couple of years during this time. Seasonal items such as Lettuce, table grapes and tree fruit require an influx of labor this time of year. Tightened borders and the rising housing market have led to a decrease in farmworkers. Wetbacks would rather hammer a nail for 10 bucks an hour than pick lettuce for 7 bucks.

We'll see what happens Monday.

Especially the illegals in our justice system and the triple burden they are there. Translators are needed when they are arrested, booked, jailed, processed through the legal system, and when they are released. We HAVE to screen who is coming here to work. Some of these illegal workers are violent criminals on the run from Mexican authorities or have worn out their welcome in their homeland. We get some of their worst and it shows in the justice system.
