lost about 1000$ of CD's due to sharing a storage space with a friend who flaked on paying the bill when i was Greece and Italy.
all the Flaming Lips (colored) vinyl along with killer foldout lyric sheets from 1985 though In a Priest Driven Ambulance....."disappearing". sister is main suspect here (god bless her).
has been given 2 amnesty situations to confess, but has not.

it makes me irrationally angry sometimes; but, i'm kinda over it.
i'd rather have a friend (he was in a bad way with drugs) and a sister (she was young) than material objects.
i'm not saying i'm happy about it....but life goes on.

Freshman year at college I left a lot of stuff at home. Roommate had similar music taste so the Replacements catalog stayed back in St. Louis. The entire collection was annexed by my little sister. In fact, I recently visited my Replacements albums in their new home in Atlanta where I had the opportunity to burn copies of my own damn albums. Same applies to old REM.

The Doors - Scream of the Butterfly
It was a bootleg vinyl LP I bought at the House of Guitars in Rochester back in '85. Freaking awesome. One of my AXP fraternity pledge brothers, Fabian Rivelis, asked if he could borrow it. In the dumbass spirit of "peace, love, and tie-dyes," I let him. Dude hung onto it for weeks, failed out of college, and the next time he blew back into town, I reminded him he had my record.
His response: (in a stoned voice) "It's MINE NOW dude! Hahahah!"
Fucking asshole. Typical hippy.
