There's been rumblings of this for the last couple of weeks, but the basketball meltdown is a little preoccupying right now.
Tell you what we should just split days on it cause that's my story as well. We need a PG. Sorry I love Scotty but we need a PG. We need to offer Uzoh and tell both of 'em which ever one commits first is who comes to OU... I think I'll head to the bball board after this.
We need a PG!!! If we force Scottie's hand by offering Uzoh we find out real quick if we are a real player or not. There will be a sense of urgency that is really not there. There will still be a scholly for him when all is said and done if he really wants to be a Sooner, it is inevitable at this point. I get my scottie info from the same place as everyone else here though... greg.

Mayfield's ship has sailed. I don't think we ever see him in C&C. If he qualifies and goes somewhere else it isn't a huge loss. He is good but lets face it he is a project player, we all know this. I hope he ends up at USF for Mucho's sake if not OU.

Things don't sound good with James that's all I hear. :( Anyone else hear on this?

Will Clark qualify or not is up in the air but if he does he is coming to Norman. He is good but not ready for the court now good.

Tony Crocker is hard core Sooner and is the main recruiter of Uzoh for us. Played ball together in HS in San Antonio though Crocker is originally from Lawton.

BtH mentioned a JC post (I thought we were going to get away from JCs finally :( ) but I don't know anything about it. I already mentioned Uzoh and other than that... nothing.

Capel came in so damn late in the process that are almost screwed next season depth wise.

SCS: some info on Hall. i read it with a grain of salt.....but sounds like a decent possibility. i'd rather NOT dump some schollies on mediocre JUCO's just to fill out the bench Capel could possibly recruit over next year. i think Johnson is the best bet at PG next year.....but Uzoh and Hall seem like worth taking a shot. more than that, i'd be in favor of holding off.

Are you Tundra or Frozen over there? Just curious cause the man behind me is always bugging me to read frozen and coolm's posts... I don't have the heart to tell him I post with both of you on other boards.

I read the thread though a little while ago. insider.com mod says it is a SA IP address, for whatever that means. I read but haven't posted there in years. The LNC just pissed me off so bad I intentionaly erased the password from my computer and it was linked to an old email addy I didn't have any longer. If I really want to read it during a busy time when they shutdown the non-"subscriber" portion I just boot up my friend's comp and get on under his name .

Rivals I won't even read anymore. My father posts there and I am too ashamed of the way he talks about some issues, especially KS, so I just don't even read it. I don't think I have been on the OU rivals site in over 4 years. My father also posted and subscribed to Insiders for about a month before he was banned for a pissing contest with CoolM.

It works out well for us though. My father has rivals, my friend and co-worker has scout, and I have the SFs (family and fans) as well as the basketball homer site.

It also says that Uzoh still hasn't been offered. Greg hasn't been posting the last few days at Sfans so I think the writting is on the walls about Scottie.

Nope. Not in school, Kill. I graduated last May, actually. I just haven't talked to anybody on the team lately. (I've been working six days a week the past few weeks... no time for hanging out, really.) I'll see, for the OU fans sakes, if I can't get a bit more info from some of the guys this weekend...

Hale confirmed that TCrocker23 was indeed Tony Crocker-phoned him up and he said it was, plus I guess there's some guys on the site who are on Crocker's myspace friends list and he told them he was posting.

I lost my password and the address to the homer site a couple of years ago. :(

Believe the Heupel wrote:Well, fuck. Uzoh just committed to Tulsa. Apparently OU never did come in with an offer and he felt that he owed it to Tulsa to go ahead and pull the trigger.
i'm disappointed i guess, but Uzoh at least made a move for himself.....which seems pretty sane given all the other BS.

Whatever minimal chance Clark has to qualify, i just hope he doesn't take the easy way out and sidestep it as an ugly situation (when he might otherwise really try and put some effort and get his ACT score).....when if he qualified he'd certainly have a chance to get some serious minutes and showcase his game and put up some numbers right out the box.

Believe the Heupel wrote:Keith Clark has made his test score as long as he gets good grades this semester. He claims he's on track for straight As.

AND Cade Davis just committed, who is a bona fide stud. Won't help next year, but he's good friends with Blake Griffin-who should be a McDonald's AA and is the brother of Taylor Griffin.

Blake already has offers from UConn and a few others but so far OU is leading (as one would hope with an in-state kid who's brother is a projected starter next year.)
Correct me if I am wrong but don't the Griffins have very strong connections with KU as well though?

Nope. They're not white enough. For KU to recruit you, you pretty much have to be clear.

j/k
