 Man what a bunch of fucking idiots. I'd just like to grab all those conspiracy theorists by the neck and choke the life out of them. If there was ever a board that deserved to be invaded by another that one is it.

Q: "What is the circumference and diameter of the Earth?"

A: "Circumference: 78225 miles, Diameter: 24,900 miles
Thinking back to my high school geometry days, I seem to recall that the words "circumference" and "diameter", by definition, apply only to round bodies. KTOA much?

You mean like a (flat) circle?

Of course, the problem with the theory is that they only posit the earth being flat on the south end. They concede the existence of a north pole and appear implicitly to concede that the earth is round when viewed from east to west. Under their theory, the Ice Wall exists only on the southern edge of the earth.

In any event, this isn't significantly different from the majority viewpoint of Europe in the 15th century, when it was believed that sailing westward on the Atlantic far enough would cause one to fall off the earth.

I always thought the earth looked something like this (with something like "monsters be here" in the between spaces):

Ever see this movie?

Do you think they were really driving in a sports car high above Monte Carlo when they filmed this scene?

the most prolific space mission lately have been ones where ppl blew up. I mean did anyone really pay much attention to NASA between the Challenger and The Columbia shuttle explosions? The rovers on Mars and moon landings all could have been done in sound stages.

Why would they need sound stages?

They aren't sending any sound back. For all we know they could have been filmed in the back of a cat litter filled Hyundai.

The same way they survived in the back of your car.
The hid as far out of sight as possible, and prayed a lot.

If you believe that some bloke created the world in 6 days, you might as well believe in a flat earth as well.

6 days? Maybe for the flat version.

For the 3-D version I'd say at least 10 days.

No CAD in those days either.

God knows I've devoted more time and thought to these iodots than they merit, but it seems to me that if you followed the answers to the FAQ's to their logical conclusion, that conclusion would be that the earth is shaped like a cone, with the narrow end facing south, rather than like a coin. I suppose it's possible that I'm not understanding something about this, though.
