Move over Kobe.....Lebron is here

Kobe is in jeopardy of being LEAP-FROGGED by someone greater than himself. Lebron James is going to be regarded as the greatest when all is said and done. And these next 2-3 years.....Lebron is going to explode(its not like he didn't this year posting 31,7,7).
Kobe is a great scorer, no doubt, but Lebron elevates his teammates a la Jordan, Bird, Magic, West. One series against an overrated Suns team minus Amare does NOT mean dick.
Kobe will be passed by.......

He's great, but he won't get clean and easy opportunities against Detroit like he did last night. Washington doesn't play any defense. The game winning layup they gave up to Lebron was inexcusable. Once he gets a guy like Jordan's Pippen, I'll probably agree with you though.

Give it some time. You may be right, and you may not.
But...I would have to say that three consecutive NBA titles means more than dick. But maybe you haven't been around long enough to remember those?

LeBron might end up being better than Kobe, but Lebron hasnt proved himself as Kobe has. Furthermore, Lebron wont be the best of all-time when its all said and done until he accomplishes or comes close to the following:
10 scoring titles
5 MVP's
6 Finals MVP's
All-time career scoring avg (reg season)
All-time career scoring avg (playoffs)
All-time Finals scoring avg (41 ppg)
Defensive POY
Record 9 time First team All Defense
Record 842 consecutive games scoring in double digits
Does he have the talent? yeah, but I am tired of the Kobe/Lebron will be the greatest. They have an awful lot to prove before the can even be put in His class.

Whoa....Kobe was Pippen on those 3 title teams. Shaq was the man. Period. Kobe was second fiddle.
cic: i see lebron coming fairly close.

TREX - STFU.
Calling Kobe Pippen completely discredits you.
If you wanna shout out the greatest, you might want to wait until you have something, ANYTHING to lean on and you don't. Not yet.
Shaq hasn't done DICK without Kobe either and depended on him just as much, dumbass.
1 series. Yea, that's all Kobe has under his belt. You dumbfuck.

Shaq has played in a couple of conference finals and a NBA Finals series without Kobe.......not exactly nothing. Whereas Kobe w/o Shaq.......

Kobe's barely been without Shaq and Shaq was uh always getting his ass SWEPT back then. Great, Shaq got past a few rounds, were those teams any better than Phoenix, who is being knocked now all of a sudden? Now that the predicted Laker ass kicking didn't come in, time to knock Phoenix. So when Shaq met up with some teams with a wee bit more depth, he got swept. Hmmmmm.
Shaq is great but can not win a title alone. That is the point.
Kobe will need some help but after all the adjusting is said and done, we'll see who needs more.
Next.

To clarify though.......to this point, Shaq has accomplished more without Kobe than the other way around. That is a fact. Anything you offer up beyond that is pure speculation.

Very true and I think Shaq and most players in the NBA will acknowledge that fact.......Kobe has not been so quick to grasp the concept.

I think it's ridiculous for peopleto argue/debate over what single player is the greatest. You'll never reach a consensus on that. What we should discuss is if they are great players. Lebron is and will be a great player. Kobe is a great player. Jordan was a great player. And as much as I can't stand the fat fuck, Shaq as well is a great player.
To try and say MJ over Lebron or Kobe over MJ or any of the assorted combos available, it's just pointless.
Question is, would you take any of those players and build a franchise around them, and the answer is an emphatic yes (or should be). That's the bottom line.

I don't know, bra, one year under one coach, Phil (much different than last year's mess), I'd say it's happening at a more than acceptable pace. If you really take into consideration what Kobe has been dealing with in terms of mates and staff, pretty amazing to me.
I think Kobe already had much of the concept but as the only true leader, especially with experience under Phil, he's had to play the role as he has. I think he turned a long page in this book but he has already been reading it for years.

BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shaq has one of the highest winning percentages of all-time for a player(he may be first - this includes PRE kobe and post kobe).
Kobe is what....barely .500 w/o Shaq.
You tell me.

QUIET, BITCH!
You don't need anymore abuse.
Simma!
Oh and read the above mentioned points you dumbass. Fucking stat geeks are always fun to rip to shreds. Every year some twat pulls out a MEANINGLESS stat to defend their point. Your .500 means shit right now, twat. Let's see what happens when Kobe's years without Shaq are somewhere in the ball park of 4-5 so he can have something to compare against.
Nimrod.

If your dumbass is going to say Kobe's record against PHO doesn't mean dick, then qualify Shaq's victories over soft/strong teams too you dumbfuck. Seems like Shaq got rolled plenty by tougher teams in his youth.
Step away from the bong.
Haven't we been saying that to you for years now?

Kobe will never go to an NBA finals again.
He doesn't have the "Shaq daddy"... and he's too selfish to ever take a team to the promise land.

I watch the NBA everyday...
I'm just not stupid enough to think "the Raiders and Lakers'" are off to a Super Bowl and NBA Title every year.
I myself... enjoy reality.

Seriously, m2, you either do a helluva job trollin, or you are one stupid motherf'er. Ya might have had a crippled leg to stand on had you come in here mid-season and made a quip like "Kobe's too selfish", but to drop that on the heels of 5 straight games where he has emphatically defered to his teammates first, well that's either just extremely poor timing on your part, or just fucking dumb.

Oh...so FIVE games and now he's jordan. FUCK no.
It's idiots like you sycophants that give lafan a bad name.
Kobe is .500 without Shaq. Deal with it. One series hasn't changed a thing.
50 points and 1 assist
81 points and 2 assists
This is the real kobe and he will never do dick.....
Ps He WAS pippen. Anyone who thinks that Shaq wasn't option one is a fucking moron. Phil, Kobe, and Shaq will all tell you the same.

Rex,
81 points and 2 assists. Had any of the other Lakers been able to make a shot that night, it would have looked more like 50 and 12, but you go on ahead and put the blame on Kobe for his teammates missing shots.
The point is, you can't call Kobe selfish, after 5 games in which he has distributed the ball to ALL his teammates, without sounding like a little whiny bitch.
Kobe has about 10 years left in his tank. Let's see what his record is when he's in the twilight of his career.
