"...and even though Kobe scored 50 points, he got away from playing the team-game style that gave the Lakers the 3-1 series lead in the first place. "
I wonder why.
Maybe his team got away from playing THE game, period.
Jesus, if they even got their hands on the ball, they kept trying to run over PHO defenders thinking they wouldn't get called or something.

Statisically speaking it is more likely that a team with a 50+ scorer will lose.
The Lakers look formidable when he distributes and looks to get others involved...
Bottom line, I just think when the Suns play their game they are a better team. When it gets tough out there Kobe can't resist chucking it up 30 or 40 times.
Suns win game 7.

I hear ya, I just think it's a chicken and egg thing.
If his team mates can't finish, he is going to try and take on more. His team's lack of involvement was brought on by themselves not having their heads involved.
They can still take this team. I mean they scored 105 after 4, so Kobe's offense is to blame? the team mates weren't involved defensively either.
Not sure why all the focus is on Kobe and his offensive stats but in The Fantasy Age, I guess I understand. The LAL defense lost this more than anything.

BTW, props to The Senior Rapist for scoring his playoff high. Shoot more, pass less scumbag...

If I remember correctly, he scored his playoff best in 1990 (against the Suns) the year after Kareem retired. In a series they lost 4-1. Never won another ring without the Big Guy around to make him look good.
Have a nice day.

I wouldn't know. The only times The Lakers have been in Championship form, the Suns were in decline. By the time they started to gell as a team in the early 90s, the Lakers were irrelevant.Dumbass wrote:Must suck to be a Laker Hata.
And I think I mentioned in another thread West/Goodrich being the best backcourt ever. I've never had anything but respect for Kareem.
Idiot.
Now if you want to talk about Boston, or that little prick Paxton....

From a fan of a team that has how many titles?
The 90s Lakers irrelevant.
Yea, I can see how you would say that, afterall it was Phoenix who was really knocking them out of the playoffs ha? Not the Jazz and Spurs who were going onto The Finals.
Sorry your team couldn't gel after 14-15 years when The Lakers were battling Boston and Detroit for rings. Sorry you missed the boat and were only lucky enough to squeeze past LA and get in there once when the West was so weak it couldn't send a decent team to The Finals until San Antonio finally got Duncan. I mean The 90s, who was significant you twat? Only The Jazz were finally able to muster a repeat appearance against Chicago. Where in the hell was your team when Seattle and Houston were running it? When were they gelling (recovering after all that 80s success)? All that gelling and they got as much as The Lakers out of it. LA's irrelevant though.

You're juat another jealous, pathetic, Laker hater who can only dream of a day when your squad can sometime be compared to this franchise. That may happen after I am dead but in our lifetime you will always be swinging from LA's nuts and you know it bitch.
