Very nice. I have to wonder, does Barry even give a shit what everyone thinks? Does he lay awake at night second guessing his decisions over the last decade? Does anyone even care?

I think he cares alot more than he lets on. Didnt he break down like a little girl on that TV show of his? Yeah its gotta get to him.

Am really surprised to hear anyone (besides diehard Bonds fans and ESPN nuthangers) watches his propaganda.

Didnt have to watch it. Colin Cowherd was all over it the day after. He played clips of Baroids blubbering like a little girl. I laughed the whole time.

Consider me in the minority... but I feel "almost" bad for Bonds!!
Yes, he dug his grave and now he will lie in it!!
But could you imagine dealing with all the SHIT he deals with Day in and Day out??
Yes, He is a Jerk and has not had a positive impact on Baseball or many people that he has met in his life and
Yes, I most assuredly believe he used Steroids (and last year and in the off season, had dialysis to "CLEAN" his blood)
but I think all the shit that people are throwing at him stinks!!

That being said, I hope he retires before coming close to Aaron..
because His record deserves an asterisk!!

I give him credit only because he's playing through physical pain and I'm sure emotional pain as well. He isn't a very likeable guy but at least he's not being a phony like McGwire and Sosa were...mugging for the camera and all. He's always been surly and he's still surly while being on the cusp of a major milestone. The media coverage is too much for me but to be fair, they did the same thing for McGwire and Sosa's duel.

Best sign of the weekend IMO:
si.com wrote:In the hallowed company of Ruth and Aaron, Bonds is treated as the punchline to a joke, like the sign in left field that read, "For Sale: Life-Sized Bobblehead. See Leftfield."

I'm thinking that the asterisks in Philly were even funnier, and that is saying something.
On another topic, can you imagine the Babe doing something like "Bonds on Bonds". It would be hella fun watching him get hammered, smoking Cuban cigars, banging broads, and eating entire buffets by himself. Way more entertaining then watching Pumpkinhead cry himself out of pity.

It was still a little weak though. The 2nd part read Aaron Did It With Class. The 3rd part said How Did You Do It?
Mine would have said Barry Did IT With Shots In His Ass.
Woo Hoo!

My other favorite from that night was a guy in left field with a sign which said: "Hey Barry! Please move your head, we can't see the game" or something to that effect.
