It's fairly obvious he's going to pass Ruth soon...I wish it would just happen now rather than later. He's got a long way to get to Hammerin' Hank...hopefully the media coverage will slow down once he gets #715. He'll still be in the headlines but he'll be 40 home runs away from Aaron's mark...I can't imagine they'd cut in on ESPN programming before he gets to 750 at least. The media surprises us sometimes though.

Best part was Vin Scully mentioning the Gnats had set up banners on the light posts in the outfield for 714 that were rolled up...and they are going to stay that way!
