I get most of my news directly from soldiers blogs on myspace about Iraq. I think I'll stick to what I hear first hand from them, thanks.

His detached expression in the photo seemed to signify different things to different people — valor, despair, hope, futility, fear, courage, disillusionment.
How about: "I'm fukk'n tired."

Jessica, who sports an "I Love My Marine" sticker on her car, says she and Blake are behind the troops though they no longer support the war.
Tough way to learn a lesson.

Alcohol is a depressant and nicotine a stimulant, bothing affecting the central nervous system. I wonder if throwing them into the mix of suffering PTSD is exacerbating things.

He needs the kind of help only combat vets can provide I'm afraid.
I've seen them work, it's nothing short of miraculous.

Rack that....I get mine direct from a couple of solider who have boots on the ground. Fuck the media.

How come you computer geeks can't recognize a wythched picture when you see it. ???

That fucking smoke was put there. Looking at the Marine,, You might think that when he either took the smog out of the pack, or got it handed to him, that it might get a bit of grease paint on it ?? From his equally dirty hands ???

And with all due respect for your respect Diego.... It is Marine, not marine....

Rack that... I am not a combat vet, nor a vet at all.....but I have talked at length with a couple that opened up to me.....a friend who was in combat in Nam, now has his son in action in Iraq... they are bonded even closer than ever now.

So if you were walking down the street & saw this guy, you'd say "this is a guy dealing with PTSD?"

The group I'm with is working on expanding into doing things like that. But right now we're just focused on attending the memorial services of fallen soldiers.

So tell us Dr. James.....how is it that Miller isn't a real PTSD case?

If you mean PGR, yes. But your description is no longer appropriate. We go to honor the soldier who has given his all, and support the family. If in doing so we need to shield a family from the Church of the Forked Family Tree then we just stand a little closer to block the family's view. But our attending isn't about those morons really....it's about the soldier & his family (regardless of who shows up).

Good ole John Crawford......

Here's a guy with enough intelligence to write a book but wasn't bright enough to figure out that the best way to avoid being inserted into war or
situations where the Government needs "soldiers" to be in harms way is to join the US Military (In this case the National Guard). Sure he could have taken a job at a convienence store to help pay his college education but that was obviously to dangerous....

I can buy this guys hard luck story though, when I was younger I wanted to be a represenative for the legalization of drugs so to fund my career choice I applied and was accepted at the DEA. It was total bullshit because expected me to do a job that was in conflict with my master plan of becoming super intielligent guy.
