You won't find a lot of metal fans in here, but I keep plugging away.

Have you heard Rebel Meets Rebel? It's David Allan Coe singing with Vinnie, Rex, and Dime. It was the last thing he recorded before he was murdered. It's not as good as I was hoping it would be (it's actually kinda bad, IMO) but if you're a Pantera fan you might want to check it out.

If I might be so bold-

Watch this or die.

From here.

PS- There is a special on black T shirts at Wal Mart this week; 8 for $10 or something close...I just saw it. I decided on the deadhead ball cap.

Rock on.

There's a bunch. But the indiefags are so vocal in their homosexuality, they've created a negative atmosphere for the heteros...making this forum something akin to a gay bar.

Those are three of the sickest metal albums ever made.

Throw Cemetary Gates on the iPod. Our local canned-rock station has put that classic back into semi-regular rotation, which pleases me on the rare occasions I listen.

And for some reason, any time anyone so much as mentions Pantera, TenTallBen has a way of appearing out of the woodwork, like freaking clockwork. Dude must do a daily search, keyword "Pantera." Always kinda admired that about the guy.

I dunno...maybe Pantera fans are too busy being Pantera fans to allow themselves enough free time to talk about how big-a Pantera fans they are.

If anything comes between you and me
In hevy metal heaven that's where we'll be
We are, Pantera fans in love...

Hell, other freaking bands write tunes about Pantera fans.(Nerfherder, if you've never caught that one).

We weren't born indie fags. First became aware of Pantera when they opened for Suicidal and got booed the fuck off stage. Later revisited them freshman year in college when the santa claus looking motherfucker from Germany was always blasting them. I'm down, but never had enough parental issues to really get into it.

Seen them live twice...FUCKING awesome shows...

Being a drummer I was always influenced by some of the shit Vinnie could throw out there...dude could flat out fucking pound...

too bad Anselmo went nuts I think they could still be a force to be reckoned with...

Dins - I might throw Cemetary Gates on, I got to throw some Far Beyond Driven in there as well...Broken, 5 minutes alone and Shedding Skin...

glad to hear there are some fans out here...oh well on the music taste issue...I mean posted about the new Korn album and got a lot of flack but fuck em...

Dins I also saw your other post about Mindcrime...I will have to go grab that one and listen again...haven't listened to Queensryche in a while...

10/12/06 -- Queensryche will be performing Operation: Mindcrime II for my listening enjoyment...unfortunately, it's at the Roseland, right up there with my least favorite venues...but at least it's listed as general admission, unlike the show I went to there last week. At least I was seated in the absolute last freaking place I'd EVER want to be in an earthquake...so I had that going for me. I'll be out on the floor for Queensryche.

A friend burned me a copy of Mindcrime II, and it seemed to waver between boring and terrible. The first one was a classic, although I'm still a little more partial to Rage for Order.
