X-men 3

Post by RadioFan »

Saw it this afternoon ... with only about 15 other people in the theater, all of us beating the masses tonight and Saturday, Sunday and Monday, no doubt, as there was a LONG line when I got out of the theater, less than 2 hours later.

For those who liked the first two movies ... it kicked ass.

I won't try to do a typical review, as plenty of those are available online, but I will say, it was, of course, absolutely visually stunning, and not as "lacking" as some of the critics have written.

I will say, however, that the film could've easily been 2 1/2 ~ 3 hours, in order to develop the new characters a bit more ... but mostly to explain the conflicts that are going on with the premise of the film, which starts out a kick-ass gray (potentially), and suddenly just becomes black and white, which is what the critics have cited as the weakness of this movie.

What's ironic however, is that many of the same critics would be bitching about how "long" the movie is, had it been another 30 minutes. ('sup LOTR Critic DUMBFUCK)

I'm looking forward to the Director's Cut/extended version of this movie.

8/10

P.S.

If you see this movie, DO NOT leave when the credits start rolling. Stay until the credits are done. There's a final scene lasting about 20 seconds that is worth it, especially if you a an X-men fan, movies or comic-wise.

This movie was terrible.

I was cringing every time Halle Berry opened her trap. Which was a lot.
Haven't seen it yet- but I worried about this. She bitched/complained her character did not get enough screen time/action in the first two and wouldn't do this unless they guarenteed her more. This is a problem b/c with the Phoenix arc they are pursuing (or seem to be)- Storm would not have alot of interaction. She was a minor character in the whole Dark Phoenix saga. I was worried about her squeezing shit in where she didn't belong just to make her happy. I would have been happy if they kept her out b/c of the fact I think Halle Berry while hot, is a lousy fucking actress (that Oscar was a joke- only given b/c of her color). They should have written Storm out (as would been easy to due since Storm has alot of side arcs anyway (Forge, etc...)). But she is a box office draw and that's what the studio's want... fuck them!

That said- I'll be seeing it this weekend.
Yeah fuckers.... I'm back

I saw it and liked it. I thought they were going to develop the Angel character more and I couldnt figure out which character was the guinea pig locked up in the white room. I was surprised that it was only 1:45.
