waiting for the
comparison/analogy !
Never been to Amsterdam-but understand that it is
out of control-- been to Vancouver BC--thought it
was OK--but MrsO's uncle moved away from
there because he did not like the direction
that it was moving !

You mean her uncle didn't like living in a city ranked one of the best to live in on the planet earth?

In Vancouver I heard it's hip to take strippers to Denny's.

Amsterdam has Dutch women.
Vancouver has Canadian women.

...Amsterdam wins.

Compared to, say, The Hague, yes, it's a zoo.

Compared to anyplace in Florida, not even close.

I haven't spent near the time in Vancouver as I have Amsterdam but you can't go wrong either way. If you're going to be in that part of BC you should take in Vancouver Island, too.

I'm trying to imagine the age of this person. Odds are he was part of the logging crew that first cleared the Vancouver area. Probably running water (and the daily showers) was "moving in the wrong direction" for this guy.

If Vancouver is being even remotely compared to te Dam, Vancouver must be a very fine city indeed.

Never been downtown Vancouver (only outskirts and airport), but it would have to be one hell of a place to compare to Amsterdam. You may think it would compare, but really, you have no idea.

which one has the hottest/cheapest/cleanest hookers?

that's what it all boils down to.

It might be hard to compete with a city in which the hookers are legal, and have to regularly undergo health checks.

I thought prostitution was legal in Canada though.

I haven't been to vancouver in a long time. None of my underage female U&L relatives has gone missing, so I don't need to go scour the underbelly of that sleazepit to find out which sexual slavery ring she was sold to.

'Round these parts, when a adolescent girl goes missing, they don't put her face on the back of a milk carton -- they put it on bus tickets to vancouver.

First time I ever got so fucked up drunk/high to the point I couldn't remember my name was in vancouver-btw.

I think it might be, at least in parts of Canada. Once in Toronto, I saw a prostitute rather obviously working right under a cop's nose, and the cop did nothing.

Was this an inflatable nose, by any chance?

Dang, I don't have to go to canada to see that shit. Don't have to go far, at all. It isn't that way in other places? "round here, as long as it isn't going down in business/tourist/heavily residential districts, it isn't an issue, for the most part.

 Actually, it was a figure of speech, but I suspect that you knew that.

I suspect there are massage parlors around here where you can find that. But this was a little different. This woman was working out in the street, and was rather indiscreet, I might add, in a heavy tourist area.

Around here, it's even easier to find...we have this thing called the "phone book." And I suspect it's the same where you are, although I can neither confirm nor deny this, obviously.

Daily occurance, 24/7...although as mentioned, that don't fly where the tourists are. Oddly enough, a street called...wait for it...MLK Boulevard is a fine example. Upper Downtown is a hooker smorgasboard of bottom-rung hookers, pretty much all day, every day...sup Luth.

Having been in Amsterdam the past few days, and having visited Vancouver a few years ago, the nod goes to Amsterdam. Both are very hip cities, but Amsterdam has more liberal laws, better looking women, and more interesting places to visit. I don't wanna leave. (I'm actually staying in a small town called Alkmaar, where the locals call themselves cheeseheads.)

Holland rocks.
