Have I suggested anywhere that the soldiers--lots of weekend reservists who can't get out even after they've served their agreed upon term--should be punished? I've said repeatedly that they should all come home--should never have gone.

Approach your retirement date while disabled -- it seems to get you out in a big hurry....for a reduced retirement/disability payment...of course.
