...that it's slipping away, Garlic.

Just kidding. While it is surely slipping away from you chukkers, I'd really just like to thank both you and Carolina for probably the most entertaining hockey series I've seen in 10 years.....probably since NYR v Vancouvah.

Your teams and your fans have done the game proud, real hockey fans will remember it and screw the Yanks that think its fashionable not to watch......no matter what happens from here on out.

I whole-heartedly agree. These are two excellent teams...three out of four games in this series have been nothing short of outstanding. I think Oilers played way too passive in the third period especially in the final minutes but the Hurricanes took away time and space effectively.

I'd also like to say......there is no better intro-song in the NHL than The Scorpions 'Rock you Like a Hurricane.'

are ya ready AQ........its almost yours.

Big serving of crow for dinner there Al? Its ok to be quiet about this....i know in your heart you were pulling for us the whole time.

Meanwhile i am anxiously awaiting ratturd to haul out some post he made 18 months ago proclaiming how the Oil would surprise the whole nhl and that he saw it coming.

I wrote in October:

If he (Lowe) gets himself another goalie I'd put money on them making it to the finals if not winning the Stanley Cup.

Kind of ironic that they're 60 minutes from winning the cup with one of the stiffs they had earlier in the year. Markkanen has played alright but I think the fact they're in Game 7 just shows how good these team is. I never thought it was Roloson that took them this far. He's not exactly having a Hasek/Roy/Brodeur/Giguere/Kiprusoff-like playoff run in net. I've never been too impressed with him and that's why I didn't think losing him would kill off the Oilers chances of winning this series...especially after just one game.

Yes.. Even Ty Conklin could win with 16 shots against him

Game 2 was a clunker but Markkanen has played well enough in the last four games to not lose the series for the Oilers. If they lose tonight, I wouldn't pin the blame on him unless he gives up a weak and costly goal at the worst possible time. Head-to-head...I'd take Ward for sure but I just think the Oilers in front of Markkanen are just as good as the Oilers were in front of Roloson.
