I've partied with 88 and I'd do it again. I'm sure I could come up with 9 more if I really thought about it.

I've been to a few events with Al D'Amato back in the day. But I don't know that he would have been much fun to spark up with. Most politicos on both sides of the aisle like their cocktails. But drugs usually require too much introspection. Politicians are social animals first and foremost. Heavy drug use and socialization just don't mix well.

So alcohol is not a drug or used like a drug ??

This is the one that has always perplexed me. I have no doubt that if the Religious Right had the clout in the late 70's -- early 80's that they do today, Bo Derek and her husband would've been their Public Enemy #1. Granted, 10 seems relatively tame by today's standards, but their handwringers undoubtedly would have been screaming from the rooftops that it was ushering in a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. Throw in the fact that she and her husband first hooked up when she was underage, as well as the fact that her husband had been divorced twice previously, . . .

Maybe not, but the Religious Right has had a huge impact upon the Republican Party and its policies.

Not surprising that your myopia prevents you from seeing that, however.

That's because you're a fucking idiot. Republican does not equal Religious Right.

No, m2 unintentionally proved mine. A 40 year old windchime hawking carny with no fixed address partying with morons less than half his age is, by definition, a loser.

Lushes, druggies, junkies whatever. They are all losers. No exceptions.

But it's your life. If you think choking to death on your own puke or dropping dead on the toilet is "cool"....knock yourself out. The gene pool thanks you.
I'm not going to argue with you on m2's chosen vocation, but your "straight edge" superiority complex isn't much different than that of the religious right that you hate so much. This may come as a real shock to you, but there are people who can enjoy a couple drinks and/or a couple bong rips after work without choking on their own puke or dying on the toilet. It's called "moderation." Look it up.

I have a few Republican friends, they vote for pro-growth local politicos, then throw hissy fits when their candidates turn around and develop in their backyards (NIMBY). Kind of like they're getting what they deserve...

Me too. Although I don't smoke anymore.

I'd be glad to share a twelve pack of beer with the Nixster. He was a great Yankee fan, ya know, as well as football fan.

Not the most honest POTUS, but very maligned. I don't think he's any worse than Clinton when you come right down to it.
Fuck that. I'd want to drop about 6 hits of high powered blotter acid on Tricky Dick. Then maybe we could get to the bottom of some of the 20th Century's most enduring riddles (Alger Hiss, JFK, Jimmy Hoffa...). I'm sure a lot of secrets went to the grave with that man.

I have to rack this.
