OK, haven't had a hand to play all tourney, I have been nickel and dimed down to 2/3 the initial stake, until I get TT under the gun. All fold around to the BB who calls. The flop comes 2A3 rainbow and the BB outs in a minimum bet. I raise all in. He calls. Show the cards and he has....63h...WTF????
I am of course thinking, well if this donkey wants to give me his money so be it. But you know how these stories always go. A 6 on the fucking turn and a blank on the river and I am out.
Bad beats are bad beats, fine, but what the fuck kind of play was that?? calling an early raise with 63h. And this guy wasn;t large stacked so he could afford to throw away his money on a spec.
I know, these guys eventually give you their money if they play like that, but it still pisses me off.

How Stupid was This Beat?

Nope, he didn't do any of that nonsense. I didn't mention my pre=flop raise to 3x the big blind. I need to work on my story telling because everybody loves to hear other people's bad beat stories.Dinsdale wrote:Online, or live?
If it was at a table, did he give you the ultimate dis, and say "I just felt it."
Or drop the classic "but they were suited?"
Did he at least do you the disservice of dropping the standard donk lines?

the lower the stakes, especially Limit games, the more fish are looking to steal.
once you got the set of aces, or the board had 2 hearts, you must overbet immediately. if not you will get sucked out. lederers sister bitches about overbetting, but there are too many people willing to piss away $25-40 and try and suck out every hand. overbet i say, but what do i know, i'm staying away from holdem and playing the table game instead of seated table. i like the action better.
trust me, one night i was drawing everything, no matter what i had, so i stayed in on anything suited, and would suck out to a set or 2 pair. So idiots online will do it just for shit and grins.
