Me too.

The Doktor and I collaborated on just one troll job the whole time we were vent associates. Should be easy to remember.

PM me what this was. Only the real Dok would know.

Because this whole deal is a cheap ploy by Santorum to try and save his failing re-election bid.

Kind of like the way the Dems do every other November in the only polls that mean anything.

Santorum's fucked. His approval rating is tied for the worst in the Senate. Casey's going to yank Rick's lingerie out of the closet and tie him to the rails with it then run his dumbfuck ass out of town.

Have you looked into the allegations, tard? CNN did Santorum a fovar by not giving it any airtime. It would be more embarassing than 500 homophobic Santorum speeches combined.

That doesn't make it a non-story. Chemical weapons in Iraq, are a big deal, regardless of the condition, because the networks have all been running with the "Saddam TOLD us he destroyed them all" line for several years now.

Now please don't inject any common sense into this situation Mike, It just takes all the fun out of the "Bush Lied" angle. Imagine a "non issue" actually being handed over to the UN Inspectors and not stashed in the desert..................

You know, personally, I have no doubt that Saddam had WMDs somewhere, and they still may be in Iraq.

Nonetheless, the Bush Administration didn't know where they were...and they still don't. Yet, they pretended that they did. They undoubtably lied about their intelligence.

So, I agree that it was necessary to prevent Saddam from deploying them - and I agree with the idea that the UN was unable to act meaningfully on the issue.

Just don't tell me that they didn't fabricate intelligence, or go with faulty intelligence, or use the politically timely threat of WMDs to advance their timetable. If you do so, you're lying.

That at least shows you have some common sense, which is more than I can say for a lot of lefties on this subject. If nothing else, Saddam's outright defiant attitude towards the western world should tell you that he had WMDs still around, regardless of condition.
Nonetheless, the Bush Administration didn't know where they were...and they still don't. Yet, they pretended that they did. They undoubtably lied about their intelligence.
Personally, I think many were hidden or moved prior to our invasion. That, combined with the fact that our intelligence wasn't the best (in hindsight), meant there wasn't shit to find when we got there. However, to suggest that Bush lied just to go to war is just dumb. Would YOU tell a lie that would be that easy to get busted on? It ain't like nobody was gonna keep quiet when we got there and there weren't any WMDs, right?
Just don't tell me that they didn't fabricate intelligence, or go with faulty intelligence, or use the politically timely threat of WMDs to advance their timetable. If you do so, you're lying.
No, you're right, they did. However, every intelligence agency in the international world had the SAME intelligence we did. So it's not just Bush's bad intel.

At best, it is educated guesswork plain and simple.
They knew the things they presented were horseshit. Admit it. It would have been preferable to avoid fabrication.

Still and all, they rightly assumed that folks like you don't mind being lied to.

No, they didn't. They were working off of best guess work on satellite imagery, dumbfuck.
Bullshit. Most of the CIA knew it was bullshit and told President Chaney it was bullshit. President Chaney didn't care and forced this fabrication down the Agency's and America's throat.

The members of the CIA that spoke out against the intelligence did so because it was based on satellite imagery, which is sketchy at best, as has already been addressed in this thread.

BTW, Cheney, too.

OCMike, first of all, I'm praying for your family. Secondly, politicians tell bald-faced lies all of the time, and do so without fear of consequence. Reflection isn't a posture that the American Public is noted for.

The fact of the matter is this - the "data" they presented was presented as evidence for war. They did so in the same way that an 11th grader patches together a research paper in study hall the period before it's due. It is better, in that mode, to hand something in, rather than nothing at all.
