God Damn it...that game was 9-1 in the late innings. I can't believe they tied it up.

Ri-goddamn-diculous.

and Guillen can't keep his mouth shut.

Will he blame Jay Marioti for the loss today?

I'm sick of Guillen's mouth.

Ozzie's act has grown old with me. If I was a SoxFan, I'd start to feel embarassed with how he seems to go out of his way to be outrageous. Something like that goes out of style after one year. If it is his goal to take heat off his team, he is successful at that. And the team seems to still play hard and win under him so it's not bringing the team down. The team itself, I have no problems with...I have nothing but respect for the defending champs. From watching them the last couple of weeks, they've taken on a form comparable to one of those horror movie monsters that can't be killed with conventional means.

To come back from down 9-1 last night was down right scary for even me being a TigerFan. The Sox and Tigers are very comparable as far as personnel is concerned. The Tigers have become a better team mentally but there's something about the Sox that I don't think any other team is on their level right now. Regular teams if they were down 9-1 in the 7th or 8th inning of the final game of a series on a rainy night after taking the first two in the three game set...they'd probably pack it in and say 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Instead, they stuck with it and Iguchi, a guy not known for his power, hits two monster homers to put them in a position to win a game they probably didn't deserve to win.

To see their ability to rally late and with how undependable Todd Jones has been...I'd hate to see a potential win taken away from the Tigers in that way. It happened a couple times in the last Sox-Tigers series in Chicago with Cintron burning the Tigers late with clutch hits. You can't give games away to a team you're fighting tooth and nail for the division. I'm very eager to see how things go in the next series between the two teams coming up shortly after the All-Star break at Comerica. It's looking more and more like these head-to-head matchups could determine who will ultimately win the division. There 13 games remaining in the season series...6 at the Cell and 7 at the CoPa. Those are games neither team probably want to take lightly or simply give away. Both teams will battle hard for nine innings and those will be some very hard earned victories for whomever comes out on top.
