Superman Returns

Went and saw Superman Returns. It was pretty dam good, a lot better than I expected. That Brandon Routh did a real good job of playing Clark Kent/Superman especially since he had big shoes to fill.
Lots of action. Movie started at 11:30 a.m. and I got out at 2:15 so it was 2 1/2 hours long but really only seemed like an hour.
Quite a few plots and surprising twists. It is pretty obvious it is a sequel to Superman 2 but that is what more or less it was to be. The opening credits were wicked.
The ticket was $7.99 plus gst and was well worth the money, of course a drink and nachos cost 9.79 wtf. I guess that is where they make a lot of their money.
I got to theatre at 10:30 and I was already 12th in line and they have it showing in 4/12 screens at the theatre, so it would be safe to say this will be the summer hit to beat.
The special effects were really really good. I would say at least a 9.5 out of 10.
