Is Canada going to threaten us next? WTF?

SEOUL, South Korea -
North Korea will respond to a pre-emptive U.S. military attack with an "annihilating strike and a nuclear war," the state-run media said Monday, heightening its antagonistic rhetoric.

The Korean Central News Agency, citing an unidentified Rodong Sinmun newspaper "analyst," accused the United States of increasing military pressure on the isolated communist state.

The North Korean threat of retaliation, which is often voiced by its state-controlled media, comes amid U.S. official reports that Pyongyang has shown signs of preparing for a test of a long-range missile.

"The army and people of the DPRK are now in full preparedness to answer a pre-emptive attack with a relentless annihilating strike and a nuclear war with a mighty nuclear deterrent," the report said. DPRK stands for the North's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The report accused Washington of escalating military pressure on the country with war exercises, a massive arms buildup and aerial espionage by basing new spy planes in
South Korea.

North Korea routinely accuses the U.S. of aerial espionage, issuing a tally of such flights at the end of every month. The U.S. military doesn't comment, although it acknowledges monitoring North Korean military activity.

:meds:

Listen gookers, you don't have the ability to do anything but WW2 type of shit with numerous little yellow men on the border awaiting to attack the South.

I will say this, we fly TR-1's/U2's out of Osan AB to watch these higher level of scum than Muslims, but they can't throw rocks up to 80,000 feet to put dings into wings.

Fucking NK Gooks getting all dissed when the Israelis are on a role is not cool. Will we ever have enough patriots to elect a CIC that will use our Death Star power properly?

Next, Martard and his shit trolls, ass-raped stock of tards from Quebec are going to sign in and snipe like usual. Right? :meds:

Bloody well right.

DPRK knows they can't beat us. They are just betting that we don't care that much about their little shithole. Unless they start selling off nuclear secrets, America should ignore them.

No... wait... I'm sure they've already sold nukes to 3rd world toilet fuck ups.

Well Bace, what noooclear secrets did we sell? I'm sure the Dept of Energy at White Sands, NM would love to hear from the 314. Then again, the Chinks work there and have found a possible solution to the Rubik's cube.

I said Democratic People's Republic of Korea has no resources beyond nuke knowledge. They'll have to sell in order to feed 1% of their population.

North Korea makes most African nations look rich in comparison. 55 years of the military state has turned them into brainwashed starving peons.

How can a declaration of right of self-defence be considered "antagonistic rhetoric"?

And smarten up Bace, you are more clever than that.

Here is a short educational film contrasting the DPRK with the United States. Slightly over the top, but still:

You remembered to pull a few plug wires before that went down right? Maybe even took it to Jiffy Lube for an oil change? You'll get over soon enough.

Bro, I don't want to go Dinsdale on you, but........

If any of the proliferate states could light off the candle, it would have been done at least in a credible test the whole world would have seen from monitoring.

First, even if you have nooclear weapons grade material, how are you going to create critical mass? Yes, the technology is out there to do it, but you better have a really damn good program that can keep up with the perishable material and its enhancements.

Blowing up a "dirty weapon" is something CNN jacks off about daily to blame GW in the future. A dirty bomb is just a HAZMAT cleanup and those few that are exposed are the only ones that are at risk.

You see, the Arab states don't have the ability to make nor deliver weapons like that and we are making sure they don't get froggy.

NK is nothing more than a front for a psycho dictator. He watches CNN and thinks spewing bullshit will give him street cred.

I hate this appeasement policy GW is losing the world while our people are getting blown up with these low lifes running amok.

I know how to stop this shit. You gather up families like Sgt Barnes" did in a good/fun Vietnam movie. You kill all of the youngins in public before you kill the elders. Next, you take out another and another, and you start hitting on close ties to the people with money and power. You go raghead on all of them and it will end.

Warfare is not something this administration or the last knows. I have zero respect for the current clowns that run the military from top down. They are fucking dweebs that are politcal wannabees. Those generals you see on CNN are no better than the shits in office.

Reach arounds for all. Who's up for a real war baby? Didn't think so.

So exactly what bullshit has he been spewing on CNN? All KCNA said was that if they are attacked, they will defend themselves.

This seems entirely reasonable as for the past month the US has been threatening to bomb the DPRKs rocket testing ranges. These rockets are used to launch satellites, the country is not in violation of any international law - likewise, if the DPRK threatened to destroy the Discovery on it's launch pad, I should think the US administration would have a right to respond, yes?

And Kim Jong Il is neither a psycho, nor a dictator. He is a very intelligent and educated man who has written a number of books, poems and plays and is highly respected in the country, I can link you to some of his essays and you can judge for youself.
Kim Yong Nam, not Kim Jong Il is the current head of state, no-one succeeded Kim Il Sung because the new constitution adoped after Sung's death does not allow for a top executive or president. Parliamentary elections take place every ten years, usually. The Workers Party of Korea, the Korean Social Democratic Party, and the Chongdoist Chungu Party, all have representatives in the Supreme People's Assembly. Kim Jong Il was elected as a deputy from a military constituency in Pyongyang, he has been the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army since 1991, and was elected General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea in 1997.

Two counterpoints to your above..ahem..logic.

1)You were the one who said they could only do "WW2 shit". An atomic blast, as was seen in WW2, is a lot more than a dirty bomb.
Feel free to read the following link for a bit more in-depth analysis than you provide:

More than Dirty Bomb

2) Are you ready hero? Those that promote war, surely have not been there.

Oh come on now. Have you been in the military? I'm not talking about the Air Force, but in the military.

I'm sure the years of flying combat aircraft off the Soviet coast in the West Pac and Korea and then being a nuclear weapons instructor at NAS North Island for a few years slipped by you didn't it?

Not a hero at all. I'll leave that to the fakers.

I was talking about WW2 type tactics. Masses of people like worker bees versus the technology of today.

I didn't dodge your first point. See, we were the only country that had the bomb at the time and it's still the case now. I thought you knew that.

Your turn good sir.

All in all, a great day for science, space exploration and socialism!

Good thing the Taepodong-2 is equipped with a third stage solid fuel booster that detonates when it's completely spent - as in 1998.
You wouldn't want advanced socialist technology to be fished out of the Pacific by the US and applied to that rickety old deathtrap you keep farting up into the atmosphere.

RACK Kim Jong Il and yesterdays advancement of the struggle!

I suspect the long range missle traveled for much more than forty seconds - that is quite a distace at full throttle. This is the same as a decade ago - the US claimed the missles failed and the next day the Russians, Chinese and DPRK all tracked the "Kwang Myong Song #1" satellite. Tough break, being caught with your pants down.

I am glued to KCNA, rest assured as soon as the "Song Of Kim Il Sung" is broadcast from orbit and published, I will share it with everyone.

I've been out of the noooclear business since 1994 so I'm sure things have changed. Back then the DOE told us who was Nuclear Proliferate and many on the lists here in the thread didn't actually have weapons with a credible delivery system.

I remember back in either 1993 or 1994 Clinton tried flexing our muscles when this type of behavior from the NK's occured. People from my command that do the inspections of nuclear capable outfits were there for the loadouts of Tomahawk's with the W-80 warheads and those L.A. SSNs beelined it for NK at top speed.

Our ballistic subs wouldn't be used for short-range launches. The attack subs definitely would be the choice delivery platform due to their speed and not giving up our box positions where the SSBN's hang out.

When the DOE briefed us for those 3 days, they showed slides of production facilities and what their best guess was as to the level of capabilities all of these countries had. Much of the intel comes from spies inside the various countries.

With the breakup of the former Soviet Union, who knows where some of their stockpiles are? The delivery method and perishable material is what most likely is the reason we haven't seen those weapons being employed.

What I remember about the Dear Leader is he likes attention and international respect. If you be nice to him he usually goes away for a few years.

mvscal is right about Dubya fucking this up. Dubya should have just STFU and let them do whatever and get press respect.
