ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (CNN) -- An open microphone caught President Bush in an unguarded moment Monday as the escalating crisis in the Middle East prompted him to use an expletive in a conversation with British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Bush and Blair were unaware that an event at the Group of Eight summit was a photo opportunity, with media representatives present. Blair later turned off the microphone.

The president was expressing frustration at the United Nations' stance on the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict in Lebanon. (Watch Bush use the 's' word during a chat with Blair -- 1:31)

Apparently not expecting an open mike to pick up his remarks, Bush told Blair: "See the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over."

Oooooo. Not the 's' word!!!
Word. Meanwhile Blair could have responded, "Right you are. Those Syrian cunts need to fuck off" and it wouldn't have even made the papers in England.

I'm surprised that CNN didn't bleep the word "shit" from the report. Pretty much can guarantee that the major broadcast networks most certainly will.

Whatever, I wonder what "irony" W was talking about?

I also wonder what he thinks would be "over"? The current crises? Maybe so, but the under lying causes of the Israeli/Palestinian/Lebanese conflict will be anything but "over".

I can't pass out any racks to W over this. Sure, he's always been a straight shooter and plain talker, and I dig the guy for just that...but this unguarded comment seems to me to be overly simplistic considering the situation.

What?

On 9/11/2001, a group of mostly Saudis hijacked American airliners, and smashed them into buildings, causing ~3000 deaths.

W's response?

Well, his most recent one was to propose to Congress that the FUCKING SAUDIS should be allowed to buy up large stakes of AMERICAN AIR CARRIERS.

When the sheeple figure out that those 3000 deaths have meant nothing but a bunch of vile filth getting richer, a plot engineered by the Busheney cartel, they should be pissed.

Unfuckingbelievable. Way to sell the country off, fucking idiots. Leave your stupidity out of the ballot box next time, retards.

Doesn't really matter though, does it? The Bush apologists(which is a mental defect) will make excuses on his behalf, since holding elected ofiicials accountable for their crimes has now been deemed "unpatriotic."

Idiots.

The corporation that the VP used to run recently had its "no-bid"(synonym for "stealing") contracts revoked recently for overcharging and abuse.

TRUE, OR FALSE?

The Bush Administration tried to sneak through a law allowing SAUDIS to buy up American air carriers by hiding the law in a transportation spending bill, even though the last time Saudis had "control" of American passenger planes, things didn't go so well.

TRUE, OR FALSE?

Bab's, it was a neocon rush-to-war plan that needed only the "Pearl Harbor" of 9-11 (yea, nineteen guys with box-cutters and pepper spray) to launch. That and smearing anyone who opposed the invasion plan.

There were no WMDs or Al Qaeda connections. AlQaeda HATED Saddam.

More to the point, the invasion of Iraq has proved a total disaster. Not only to the millions of Iraqis assaulted, tortured, raped, and murdered, and their destroyed nation, but to the thousands of dead Americans, and tens of thousands who are permanently damaged--blown off legs, serious psychological damage.

And the fiscal catastrophe of this grotesque war crime is, like our ever-balooning debt, still to be exacted. Or what, do you like $5.00 a gallon for gasoline?

Contiued mantra-like parrotings of the neocon line for supporting the attack on the Arab world a re disgusting. Just like you, bab's, in your wretched, soulless make-believe world of Rovian reality.

As for the Chimp and his pottymouth, no one cares about his saying "shit." Of course not. The chilling revelation of the open-mike comments are more:

--the astonishingly stupid and (blasted?) sort of comments to the Chinese premier...."You're a big country....yea Russia's big too"

--the bizarre misuse of "Ironic" along with the grossly uninformed take on Damascus somehow being able to shut the whole situation down like a faucet,

No one has ever considered the Chimp to be in any way intelligent or poised. And after all, he was NEVER duly elected in the first place. He stole the election in Florida in 2000, and again in Ohio in 2004. He and his cabal are outright criminals. But still his childish behavior and deportment is really disgusting.

We deserve a LOT better.

I wouldn't be so sure about the House of Saud.

And besides, even if one assumes that al-Qaeda hated the U.S. and House of Saud worse than Saddam, it does not follow that al-Qaeda and Saddam were allies.

Say what?
Rumsfeld questions Saddam-Bin Laden link

US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has cast doubt on whether there was ever a relationship between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda.
The alleged link was used as a reason by President Bush for invading Iraq.

Mr Rumsfeld was asked by a New York audience about connections between Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden.

"To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard evidence that links the two," he said, though he later issued a statement saying he was misunderstood.

When asked about the putative link during a session at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York on Monday, the defence secretary said: "I have seen the answer to that question migrate in the intelligence community over a period of a year in the most amazing way."

It wasn't false. He did question the link between Iraq and al-Qaeda, although he later backpedaled when he realized he had gotten off his talking points.

He rather obviously questioned any link between Saddam and bin Laden. Only later, when he realized he spoke out of turn, did he backpedal.
