Since prostitution is legal in NZ how can her department frown on her having a second job?
Unless they frown equally on cops who also run Bait & Tackle shops and who moonlight as tv repairmen it'd seem like there's little her employers could legally do to her without risking a nice wrongful discharge (errrr...) lawsuit...

Also, I wonder if anybody ever tried pushing 'em by taking 'em to court over it...
(Edit: Does NYC have rules against their cops moonlighting as mafia hitmen? Just sorta wondering, considering...
