It should be noted that USC shouldn't be No. 3 at this point.

It should be noted that FSU is in the top ten because of reputation.

It should be noted that the Buckeyes will have to be the Luckeyes to keep that spot past September.

I like flying under the radar at 15.

Gonna be a good year.

It should be noted that Kal is not in the top 10 and will be number 1 after their 5th loss...

and it should be also noted that for Kal fan scoreboard means nothing but if you gain more yards, have more 1st downs, and have a bigger time of possession then you actually win the game...

it should be also noted that Kal fans are wind chime selling, pole smoking, counting crow worshipping faggots...

it should also be noted that IOWA is underrated at 17 and everyone else up to #17 is overrated...

Don't forget that IOWA has enough talent to fully-stock every team above them in the rankings.

Just think, all Iowa has to do is jump about five spots and they're a potential wild card team come playoff time.

It should be noted that this poll shouldn't come out until October at the earliest.

^^^^^^^^^

Wouldn't that be a season poll and not a pre-season poll

Maybe, but this sets the tone for the rest of the year. Oklahoma, for example, starking at #5 is a gift for them. They will not slide in the polls a lot unless the lose badly to Oregon even though we all know they are probably a 20-25 team right now at best.

It just puts a lot of teams at a disadvantage. I don't like it. Since the BCS uses this poll, this poll, and the Harriss poll, should not come out until the BCS comes out.

Have all the sports rags polls they want. The coaches and Harris will not be influenced bythe sports rags polls and neither will the BCS poll.

It should be noted that if they must come out w/ a pre-season poll, they should wait at least until two-a-days are over w/.

This is an interesting twist to the game now

Texas never lost a #1 vs #2 game:

1963 #2 Texas beats #1 OU 28-7
1963 #1 Texas beats #2 Navy 28-6
1969 #1 Texas beats #2 Arkansas 15-14
1984 #1 Texas ties #2 OU 15-15
2005 #2 Texas beats #1 USC 41-38

4-0-1

It should be noted that...

1 plays 2
2 plays 1 and 5
3 plays...uh...3
8 plays 9 and 10

This poll will change early and often.

My skers are #22, not bad. Could be in the top20 for USC. Hopfully we can acquit ourselves well and stay there.

With the news that Paul Thompson rather than a total noob will be qb OU wouldn't have dropped a ton but probably a good five spots.

Cry all you want mo, the record book says Tie.

Texas is officially undefeated in 1 vs. 2 games. I saw the game, Texas was just as screwed in the 1st half as blOwU was in the 2nd.

pyrrhic victory for #1 UT, since they finished 1984 unranked.

1984 marked the end of an era and the beginning of 17 years of hell for Texas.

That was then this is now, and right now its good to be a Longhorn fan.
