More from as the Car Lot Turns: Nelson Peterson, Adrian’s father, recently was released from a Texas prison to an Oklahoma City halfway house and landed a job at a Jackie Cooper dealership in Edmond. Jackie Cooper is a past subject of NCAA investigations. The NCAA will find that all very interesting.

It's not fair to student-athletes (VY) to post unsubstantiated rumors (about VY) making a 6 on the wunderlic.

what kind of job at the dealership did Papa Peterson get? I mean if hes sweeping up cigarette butts on the lot or washing cars and is getting paid the same minimum wage as the rest of the Lot Porters, it shouldnt be much of an issue
While being Adrian's dad probably got him the job I don't see a problem as long as they have him in a job he is qualified to do at a competitive pay-rate. If ex-cons don't get opportunites you considerably increase the chances of them becoming a con again.
It's not like he'll be doing it for long anyway. If Adrian stays healthy he'll be a top pick in the draft next year. Then he'll hook his old-man up.

Im not sure about Oklahoma but in California Mr Peterson would be limited to lot porter, parts cashier or parts delivery driver, most other positions require state issued licenses and they wont give those to anyone who was ever convicted of a felony.
If hes making $6.50 an hr to clean up the lot or wash the cars, then it shouldnt be an issue.

I doubt if they got Adrian's dad a particularly crappy job, nothing custodial. He is probably a parts-driver. That's not a bad gig, you spend half your day tooling around listening to the stereo.
