Does Aikman belong in the Hall?
Put aside your hate for the Cowgirls......
I have a hard time calling him a Hall of Famer....
Dude had the best O.L in history along with Smith...Novachek. Irvin etc....
Let's hear it!

Does Terry Bradshaw? He was a good QB but not great. and look at the team he had around him.
ANSWER: Yes they do. Someone had to get Irvin the ball,as did someone have to get Stallworth the ball. Both were great leaders despite not setting the world on fire with their stats. Id go to war with both anyday.

Yes. I've grown to have even more respect for what he did and most Eagle fan's don't really like the Cowboys.

That's right.
Dallas doesn't win 3 SBs without Troy Aikman.
Sure, he didn't 'carry' the team, but he was steady, solid, smart.
His generation's Bob Griese, if you will.
Irvin is the guy that ought not get in, IMO.

Loathe though I am to say this: Aikman well deserves this honor. We can go round and round with the usual "chicken or the egg" arguments in terms of whether the rest of the cast made him better or he made them better, but that's an exercise in futility with respect to those 'Boys teams. It was the best of all possible worlds with those offenses, just like the '9ers dynasty: everyone made everyone else look good. Total mutualistic symbiosis.
The proof of Aikman's HOF ability lay in the fact that his offenses would do more than take what the opposing defenses gave (usually the case in most NFL games): they would force the issue entirely. Their punters didn't get much work in those days (can you name any from the SB years?). Most telling of all within this understanding of the dynamic is that the 'Boy's offensive mastery was so complete that they would force the ball down the field with either quick strike capability or their preferred method of long drive attrition. Time consuming, real estate grabbing, defense tiring and usually ending up in a score, the perfectly executed vintage '90's Cowpoke drive was a thing to behold. And with opposing offenses on the bench for large, crucial swaths of game time, they rarely had an opportunity to get in their own rhythm and the 'Boy's defense almost always came out in the 4th quarter flying around fresh as though it was the 1st period of play.
NONE of that balance was possible without a future HOF'er under center.
Fukkers.

He deserves to be there. Good field general who had his best games in the biggest of games.
