Some gems from last year

Post by BBMarley »

So- I'm looking for a quote from last year.. and was reading thorugh the old threads... here are some Gems I found...

Cracks me up all the dim bulbs fans & media that thought he'd be better than Priest

Shoalzie wrote:... Right now, I think Garcia gives the Lions a better chance at winning the division. I was a bit cynical about his return and from how poorly he played in the preseason. Today, against solid defensive team and with very little depth at receiver, Garcia made it happen. He didn't turn the ball over and he was able to create plays with his feet. The Lions are far from a contender but I think the outlook for the rest of the season has improved with this change at quarterback....

First Overall Draft Pick next year: Chicago Bears (They really are that fucking bad)

Not fucking likely.

Where on earth is T.O hated more than at Texas Stadium? Remember a certain Star incident?

I'll boo every move that fucker makes on the field from now until the end of time. If he winds up a Cowboy, that fact wouldn't change.

Jerry wants to win, but he ain't stupid. Plus how do you think Parcells would deal with T.O.? You think Reid is being a hardass...?

Bad take, but I know you were just taking a shot at Jerry and not using your noggin.

Then why didn't they draft a QB to step in this year & replace McNabb, who just happens to be at the top of his game?
Because 2 years ago they drafted Andy Hall out of Delaware as his play is very similar to Mcnabb (Likes to scramble, make plays out fo the pocket). He is their 4 th string this year and they are working on developing him - for the future!

Yeah fuckers.... I'm back

Scoff all you want but watch Joey Harrington for a couple of years and a broken down Jeff Garcia didn't look like that bad of an option. Of course he looked like crap the rest of the season. I learned my lesson...don't overrate a QBs performance against the Browns. Then again, I witnessed Ty Detmer's 7 INT gem against Cleveland a few years ago.

We're some prognosticatin' motherfuckers; although, I bet you can go through any sportswriter's archives and find similar quotes. Great thread nonetheless, BBMarley.

Bwa! - Rack on finding this nugget of stupidity.

At this time last year all I could think of were the endless list of Penn State HB Failures and how much the Chiefs could have used a Defensive player in that spot.
