Simple question, so I thought....

On Launch.com trying to watch videos; I can either view a tiny little screen (where I can't really see what's happening), or a large "full screen version" that is so pixilated, that I can't make out what is happening.

Is there a way to resize “fixed size” windows such as these, so I can see the picture, and still be able to interpret what is happening in the picture?
I tried looking it up on Google, but I must have been too vague with my search criteria, because I got a whole bunch of everything except the topic I was searching for….

I asked my stepson, but he doesn’t worry so much about it, thanks to that new laptop we got him for graduation, he doesn’t have that many issues with video size (either that or he just didn’t want to take the time to monkey with my ‘puter…).

Any advice from the wise T1B sages?

You are out of luck. All these sites use Macromedia Flash to play the videos through so its not like an embeded player that you can usually play outside of the browser and increase the size.

Things you might try on your PC:
Download the latest version of Macromedia Flash.
Try a different browser
Make sure your browser is the latest version and patched
Make sure your stream speed is high enough, like on Launch I ran it at 300kbps and the video was at around 1/4 of the size of my screen and ran fine.
Maybe look for a site that doesn't use Flash.
Look at the artist's own site (they usually share their own music videos on their own websites)


You may also be having this problem because your computer is perhaps older. You could add more memory to your computer and/or a better video card.

Those are all the ideas I have.

I believe Launch uses RM or WMP. However, the sites that embed video into flash...click the fullscreen button, and you'll have a resizable window.
