Nice, but it looks like you could have picked up Rackers in the 9th or 10th. Lot of playmakers on your defenses which can get you turnover and TD points but can cost you big in points allowed. That's the risk in aggressive defenses.

Bri, dont take offense to this, or do, whatever. Just know its not directed at you personally.

Can we put a bullet in the "Rate my draft," threads?

90% of us dont give a flying fuck.
9% of us hope you fall flat on your face, and finish in last place.
1% of you will actually waste time, nit-picking the shit out of it, laughing, racking the guy, or what have you.

100% of us should have something better to do than rate some bastards draft. ITS A FRIGGIN FANTASY DRAFT! None of us is Elvis Kiper Jr. We dont steal $$ to rate drafts.

Whats next? RATE MY POWERBALL PICKS! 1, 4, 7, 28, 33, pb 9 Woooohoooo, Im gonna win! Who the fuck knows, and who the fuck cares.

Doh, I may have spoken in haste. None of us get paid to do anything here.

100% of us nit-pick shit, laugh, rack guys, or what have you. Thats all we do here.

No chance in hell I would have taken Holt in round 2.

;)

Why did you take the Chiefs defense with the 17th round pick?

Was the Mexico School for the Deaf and Blind JV Team already selected?

All my friends think they have "really done something" if they can make me laugh as I don't laugh that often. I can think somethign is funny, but I have that partypoker.net guy's poker face and say something like "That's good."

Anyhow, that quote above gave me a nice little smile. I couldn't imagine if all of us posted a "Rate my draft" thread. Sorry BS, but you were asking for it.

In a 12 team league Gates lasted till the 4th round? He is as good as if not better than most receivers stats wise. That's fucked up.

I'm feeling the irony.

They're my bye week team and they get to play the Raiders twice.

Go back and look at the points earned by Rackers and Feely last year. I'm pretty sure Rackers was just barely ahead of Feely. I think he made a good move not taking Rackers and getting Feely later.

I personally don't draft kickers until near the end of the draft.

Feely had the most points of any kicker last year. I picked him up in the 14th round of my draft. A steal.

No kidding! What, are the other teams run by a German exchange student, two Hooter's chicks, and several retards?

"They're my bye week team and they get to play the Raiders twice."

...the question being....do they play the duh's on the Bill's bye week?

Bills are middle of the pack and the Chiefs...well...they're not good.

Looks to me like you did quite well Bri. Good luck

I didn't feel like sacrificing Gore or Taylor/Jones for a stud defense.

And no, the Bills and the Chiefs don't have the same bye week.

...with that established...you're not that solid on Defense. Of course Defensive scoring is probably just a notch above kickers in the scope of things ( unless you end up with a top 5 D ).

BSmack, you want my honest opinion I think you could have done better. Holt in the second followed by Moss in the third was a mistake. It left you too thin at RB.

I did some checking. In the league I am in Rackers was first in Kicker points, but only by 8 over Feeley and they were both miles ahead of everyone else, so I'll stand corrected on that one with only the exception drawn for the fact that I believe Rackers missed a couple of games.

Being the assboil that dave normally is, he doen't get credit very often.

This is the exception.

Rack That!

"Rate my draft" threads are sorta' like the Texas Hold 'em poker geek describing the bad beat he got in last nights all in for 5 bucks rant the next morning...not that dave would ever risk a whole 5 bucks or anything.

i dont like jackson at all.

especially in first, he's not 100% healthy, and leaves his legs open on every run, he'll be probable by week 2. the offense has struggled, and everyone in division has improved. If bulger goes down, they are fucked, 8 in the box against ferrote(backup)

he doesnt run with power no moe, he runs sideways, which isnt his game(ask dins, he's seen jackson run with power at oregon st). looks like he learned nothing from faulk.

Oh what the hell, I'll post my draft (with some self criticism). 12 team league with Individual defensive player. Start 1QB, 2 RB, 3 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DL, 1 DB, 2 D. I picked 10th, round and overall pick in parenthesis), 19 rounds.

Quarterback
Matt Hasselbeck (4, 39)
Aaron Brooks (19, 226)

Running Back
Edgerrin James (1, 10)
Reggie Bush (3, 34) - Too early, I kind of panicked knowing I should pick a running back at that spot.
Ahman Green (5, 58)
Brandon Jacobs (9, 106)

Wide Receiver
Larry Fitzgerald (2, 15) - funny considering the criticism I gave Bsmack
Lee Evans (7,82)
Matt Jones (8,87)
Brandon Lloyd (10, 111)
Robert Ferguson (16, 183)

Tight End
Tony Gonzalez (6, 63)
Chris Cooley ( 13, 154) - Why he fell this far I don't know

Kicker
Jeff Wilkens (18, 207)

Defense
Donnie Edwards (11, 130)
Jonathan Vilma (12, 135)
Adrian Wilson (14, 159)
Osi Umenyiora (15, 178)
A. J. Hawk (17, 202)

From Friday:

10 team keeper league.. rule is you keep up to 2 guys for 1 year (thus getting player for 2 seasons). If you keep no one you get a draft pick. Owners names are put in a hat and names drawn at random. (so theoretically you could have picks 1 and 2).

6pt per rush/pass td
4 pt per pass td

1 pt per 10 rush/rec yards
1 pt per 15 pass yards

Once every team has 2 players, auction commences. Most of the top tier guys were gone via keepers and the draft. I like my strength at QB and RB.. give me leverage for trading.

My roster (I forget what I paid, but bolded players were my keepers)

Delhomme
Bulger

Alexander
C. Williams

G. Jones
A. Green
C. Brown

R. Wayne
T. Houshmandzadeh
J. Jurevicus
I. Bruce

H Miller
Longwell
Bears D

No one drafts back-up TE,K,D since we don't require a certain amount of each position as long as you can field a starting roster each week. This produces a lot of trades and painful cuts by stupid owners who don't check their rosters a few weeks in advance. I am working on trying to strengthen my WR's.
