Don't you have one of those newfangled bowling wristband thingies to buy this morning?

Better hurry before the new shipment sells out.

Marshall Holman was my all-time fav.

He always looked like he was gonna kick the shit out of somebody.

Bowling needed that kind theatre in order to thrive in the Chris Schenkle era.

.... you ASS.

Amletto Monacelli over here. Cranker Supreme.

Only one even close is/was Walter Ray Williams, but that dude's wife is as fugly as Jeremy Mayfields wife, and I fugging HATE Jeremy Mayfield with a passion over that incident at Pocono with the #3...FUCKER!

Walter Ray also pitches some mean horseshoes.

Neither is cheating on your wife. Doesn't make it right.

Rack 'tart. You want to retire as a Niner? Don't sign with the 'duhs, Broncos and Seahawks. Going out as a Niner obviously wasn't that important to you.

Jesus, you're a fucking hayta. I know I'm not all into the "AFC West" clique you guys got going on. However, JR is THE best receiver to ever step onto the field. It IS NOT uncommon for athletes to sign 1 day contracts to resign with the team that they made their mark with.

Why can't you faggot fuck just say "Thank you" to JR for the memories he has given you and shut the fuck up?

Pathetic. JR is greatness. And you're a peasant who heckles him. Bode you. :meds:

OUCH!!!! a couple of Fuglies for sure!!!!!

Walter Ray also pitches some mean horseshoes.
Walter Ray is the BEST...though EARL was fuckin'MONEY!

rooted for EARL back in the day.

Wagon

Moral of the story is...admire the CRANKer like Amletto....and you have 0 personal 300's to show for it....where did you go wrong?

as for Jerrah Rice....Dance with the Stars some more....he'll be in the HoF 1st ballot.

dismissing what he did at the end of his career...trying to HANG ON....can't be ignored.

Jerrah trying to ignore what he did...well, that's just wrong.

rack 'Tart as per usual.

poppy....i was able to sell Marshall some golf gloves back in the day...he seemed unlike the 'prick' he always came of as being.

BOWLING FORUM much????

No sane person questions Rice's greatness as a player, Indy.

Troy Aikman retired as a Cowboy.
Walter Payton retired as a Bear.
Steve Largent retired as a Seahawk.

Retiring from the team in who's gear their career was defined was part of their thing.

Jerry Rice retiring as a 49er is NOT his thing.

He's trying to orchestrate things to go a way that flies directly in the face of the reality we all know exists.

If he wanted to retire as a 49er he had 2 choices.

1. retire after the 2000 season.
2. sign a contract with the 49ers to play this year .... and then PLAY.

Q, what color glove does Marshall prefer .... ?

oh, they were "stock" off~white Foot Joy Sta-Sofs...as he was using them for GOLF.

now, some other "chucks" came into the store to buy up our supply of "half-gloves"...for bowling purposes...but Marshall was not such a "chuck."

Marshall had some cold rounds at Inverness to play.

3 most successful pro bowlers ever --

Earl Anthony...Oregonian

Marshall Holman...Oregonian

Dave Husted...Oregonian

And I believe my friend has beaten ALL of those guys at one time or another. Along with Norm Duke in the Masters -- knocked the Duke's ass into the losers bracket, which ended what was the gtreatest winning-run in PBA history...dude was just wired for extreme competition. Too bad Bowling Dave(my old buddy) took a few year hiatus, and since coming back, has kind of faltered in his PBA career. Way too bad, since he was better than any of those guys ever thought about being. I believe he has more sanctioned 300's than the aforementioned guys put together.

Kind of a shame, since he declined PBA contracts many times when he was in his prime. Always wanted to stay in the U&L. But life dealt him some less-than-stellar hands, and a break from bowling was a result. If things had gone a little differently, you guys wouldn't even be talking about Earl(RIP) and Marshall...seriously. At one point, I believe Earl Anthony said of my bud "he's the best who's ever played the game at any level." (Earl knew better than to bad mouth Dave, since he had done it before, the end result being that Dave called him out to play for $500 a game...in front of a class/lesson Earl was teaching at the time. Earl very wisely declined. Nothing to gain, but both face and money to lose...and he WOULD have lost, and he knew it.)

I guess the moral of the story is...when opportunity knocks, open the freaking door and invite it in. Years and years from now, it won't mean much when someone points to him from across the bar and whispers "see that guy there? He was the greatest bowler who ever lived, bar none." A deformed right hand is all he'll have to show for it, more than likely(not that dude didn't used to make mad cayshe as an ameteur).

Oh, wait...this ain't the Bowling Forum...my bad.

If Jerry wants to retire as a Niner...it makes this Ninerfan happy.

...Holman was classic, sawr him a couple of times in person. His meltdowns were a thing of beauty. Chain smokin, beer drinking, expletive spewing HOF'er.
