I really anxious to see how all the big boy teams i.e. USC, UT...etc. all do with the new qb's....does that count?

I'd have to go with tOSU v. Texas... or Washington State v. Auburn.

This is a Sat. topic.

Miami v Florida State needs a day to itself so we can all enjoy it.

Oh, I didn't realize you opened this up to every Saturday of the year. OSU/t.u. is on Sept 9., not this weekend.

If you can find (or provide) a better one for me, go ahead. Until then, this one sticks.

My bad.

I've been reading about that game all day long for about 2 weeks.

Brain fry.

Unfortunatley, the pic size limit won't allow me to put her as my sig.....nor will my wife.

I'm looking forward to FSU-Miami. That's always a good matchup.

Here local, I'm kind of interested to see what Colorado looks like under Hawkins. though, the matchup with Montana State is hardly compelling....and i doubt one learns much from it unless the Buffs struggle. Since OU plays late, I may go if i can roundup a ticket for cheap.

I did go to one of CU's scrimmages with a buddy, and i wasn't all that impressed--they looked confused, SMALL, and pretty weak on the OL. but, i acknowledge you don't learn much from a team 3 weeks into camp and in a scrimmage situation where you don't really know what the coaches are trying to see or get some film to look at re: matchups and such. and to say the playcalling was conservative would be a massive understatement. it made Woody Hayes look like Houston with Ware and Klingler. looked good on D, though.

if i were a Buff fan, I'd be pretty excited about Hawkins though.

Once UM takes care of business, I don't give a shit. I'll tune in to Miami-FSU. but could give a flying fuck who wins.

Sorry bro, I'm not feeling ya... if there was a good game at 6 am... I'd somehow wake up for it.

FSU/Miami is always entertaining.

I'll be watching Northwestern/Miami (OH) with interest, as well. It'll be interesting to see what Northwestern can come up with after the passing of Walker.

I think Northwestern will go back to being Northwestern.

My mom went there... and I asked her what she thought of the young coach passing away?

She had no idea what I was talking about.

Fran won 10 games at Bama. and he's certainly made Stoops sweat a couple times....and really the Bama game in 02 and ATM in 04 had the Sooners looking silly on special teams.

Pinkel would the guy i'd have subbed for mid-major whiff or at least jury still out after 4-5 years.

CU got lucky in that Hawkins was gonna end up somewhere, is a "west" kind of guy, and to my knowledge CU was the only BCS conference school hiring after last season--unlike last year's NCAA hoops firing/hiring circus.

edit: and in the deal, CU got Hawkins kid who was an Elite 11 QB. he's undersized but can throw it.

ASU in Boulder should be a great game, in Week 3 (Nirvana for CFB fans). Not sure if it's going to be on TV here, but I hope so.

that game has some interesting angles in that Hawkins used to work for Koetter at Boise...and Hawkins' OC Helfrich was at ASU last year. and, both teams need to win that one to make a claim to be better than just "bowl eligible".

the way the schedule sets up, CU needs to beat either ASU or TTech at home to be legit, IMO.

I always look forward to Miami-FSU, its like watching a prison football game.

The number of UC penalties and personal fouls, and fights, and shit talking makes me smile.

I don't think there there is another game like it all year.

Because the ND game is on at night, I really don't give a shit about any other games. Yeah, I will turn into whatever game is on, but my focus is on the ND/GaTech game from the moment I wake up until it is over.

Fran's tenure at ATM is a mystery, no doubt. and, coupled with UT's NC, the chance for ATM to "step up" in the South and especially recruiting blue chips in Texas....seems to be a costly and closed window of opportunity bearing on the future.
