Jon Lester allegedly has a form of lymphoma known as Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).

You don't need to know all the technical details but it can be 1 of 3 varieties..
(But If you are interested..Here's E-Medicine Link

1) The 5-year survival rate is 90% for the primary cutaneous form of ALCL.
2) The prognosis of the systemic form have a 5-year survival rate ranging from 70-80%.
3) The 5-year survival rate in patients without ALK expression ranges from 15-30%.

Depending on which form.. there is either a 15% or 90% chance that he will be alive in 5 years.
Talk about a freaking eye opener!! Jon Lester is 22 years old!

Great... just what this forum needs is more of your cunt-ass whining about the poor Red Sox... how they cannot compete with the Yankees payroll. :meds:

Too bad your shitty GM gave up on the season when he traded your best healthy pitcher to the Padres.

Yet another horrible move by Epstein.

RACK your boy Ortiz for faking heart problems to take the heat off of Mandy Ramirez.
