Baseball Diamonds on Football Fields
Posting this now, knowing it’s gonna bug the hell out of me for the first few weeks of the NFL season…
I don’t mind seeing baseball diamonds on football fields during the NFL preseason, but preseason is over! I can’t stand it when a team takes the field during a regular season game and has to snap the ball from dirt! Why the hell can’t the game of baseball be done by the time Football starts? How many games does baseball really need to play?
Rack the cities that build baseball only stadiums!

I couldn't agree with you more. The A's look like they are a lock for the playoffs and that means a dirt field well into October. It sucks for both teams imo. Football leaves the grass unplayable and the mound a pain for the home team pitchers cause they are used to the same mound all season then have to adjust to it being rebuilt after a football game, sometimes over night. There also might be some rescheduling of Raider games due to the playoff run by the A's. It looks like shit during football games but then again these guys play in a snow filled, rain drenched, frozen tundra etc....
The Giants built At&t park for themselves and although I dispise the team that stadium is awsome! The A's are looking to build a baseball only stadium somewhere in downtown Oakland or closer to the South Bay like San Jose which would be great but that battle is still going on with the Giants for territorial rights.

Holly Crap! You guys have the king of all Football Diamonds! Most are in the corner of the field. You guys go 60 yards! From one 20 to the other 20… OUCH!Raider Loco wrote:The A's look like they are a lock for the playoffs and that means a dirt field well into October.

you can thank al Davis for that. He was the one who insisted on redesigning the stadium.
