From the "you ought to be ashamed file":
Ohio St.
Texas
Florida
LSU
Oklahoma
Michigan
Georgia
Iowa
V-Tech
Clemson
Penn St.
Nebraska
Arizona St.
50% of all Div.1 teams would go undefeated for the season playing your "competition" today....

We beat an SEC squad by 3 td's today.
The D looked fast and agressive.
The running game looked very good.
Some drops and uncharacteristic penalties...but that's what these "scrimmages" are for.
All and all, I'm pleased. Thanks for asking.
Who's UCLA got?

Hey, as long as my teams in the pick'em covered. That's what's important here. :P
Intriguing games -- at least on paper -- start in about an hour, including Utah @ UCLA, which my local FSN affiliate is going to show. RACK that shit.

Seer, are you going to include UCLA in this same list next week? Otherwise, shut the hell up.
Damn that really sucked to type.

1. UCLA not ranked (see thread title)
2. Playing Rice could be forgiven considering the OTHER OOC game - Notre Dame (away)
Next argument?

We play ND... do we get a pass?
OSU plays Texas and vice-versa.
PSU plays ND.
What's your point asshat?

Texas supports other Texas schools that is why you will always see us play Rice, and UNT. In the future we will be playing TCU.
I have no problem keeping the money in the state especially when we are playing tOSU next week.
Our Alums in Dallas and Houston love having a game in their city every other year.
BTW it looks like we have a competent QB. I will withhold real judgement til after the ISU game.

Iowa?
Texas?
Georgia?
Ohio St?
Va Tech?
All those teams looked sharp and have nothing to be ashamed of. You don't need to win 70-0 on opening day to look good.

that's the funniest thing i've ever read. you got beat at Stanford and pussed out to play Hawaii.
only recently has UT had the balls to play OOC out of Texas.

That Hawaii thing was pretty embarrassing. Plus this year Texas really upped the ante and got 1-AA Sam Houston State for a game. I do like that most the cupcakes are in state cupcakes, but with the season ticket prices it would be nice to see some better competition out there.

WOW, the seer must be a faggott sissy queer, WHY, may I ask, should nebraska be ashamed of anything?
the huskers are just getting warmed up, zac taylor will be a heisman contender, nebraska is as balanced a football team as you are likely to see,
again, what the fuck do we have to be ashamed of?
hey seer?
its the pac ten which is a HUGE JOKE, cal has no business being a top ten team, tennessee sodomized the best of the pac ten today, do you know the meaning of the word , sodomize?
why the fuck is cal in the top ten?
and why does a fairy queer princess like seer, seem to think that nebraska ought to be ashamed?
its 2006, and nebraska is BACK!!

So we didn't have any balls when we played Colorado when they were good back in the 90's
We didn't have any balls when we played Notre dame?
Texas has a hell of a lot more examples of playing tough non-conference opponents outside of Texas than the two you just mentioned.
Maybe what you should do is worry about the blOwU tough non-conference opponents like UAB.

I know you are mad that your confernece blows ass (outside of USC), but leave the rest of us alone.
Vandy is an SEC school, not a good one, but at least they are in a real conference. Utah...sucks.

nebraska will beat down your horns this season, HELL, we barely lost to you fruits when solich was still there, remember? that squeaker? THIS YEAR, we are the most balanced team in the entire big 12, if you think that zac taylor is not the real thing, just wait till our game next month,

No reason for them not to be ranked.
Just cuz a few hacks say so?
UCLA has a QB that will be the envy of any team in the nation.....and that is spendable.....

So UCLA gets a pass because they play ND, then damn near every other team on your list should get a pass because of their other OCC games.
Not to mention the conference schedule of which UCLA's is a joke compared to some of those teams you list.

ND, Nebraska and an opening game roadie at a pissed off SEC member Arkansas makes for the toughest OCC schedule in the nation.
Seer's point is pretty much a valid one. Keeping the money in the state by playing 45 point spread scrimmages and then counting 'em as real games on the schedule is bullshit. If Texas is going to play teams like Sam Houston State and N. Texas and the argument goes that they're "helping out" then fine, go the whole nine yards and at least schedule 'em as a home and home series so that those cupcake locales get their fair share beyond the mere up front cash payout from the gate in Austin.
Padding your record by playing more home games than road games and then making sure that the majority of those OCC home games are games in which it'd be physically impossible to lose is bullshit.
Along with the addition of some sort of playoff system this is the one other aspect of college football that needs to change before College Football Fan truly has the final word in any argument against NFL Fan.

The reason Tech had to settle for this shitty game is because Wisconsin pussed-out at the last minute because Alvarez retired, leaving Tech scrambling to fill the void in the schedule. I cannot defend the rest of Tech's OOC schedule though.

I think you are correct. Therefore, I rescind my defense of the Hokies. Tech deserves any shit it gets for such an embarrassingly pathetic OOC schedule. There is no justification for scheduling a D-1AA team when your other OOC schools are Kent State and Cincinnati.

hey seer fag?
we're gonna be muzzled in two weeks? really?
did you hear me say that nebraska is the most balanced team in the nation? ITS TRUE.
look at those stats, 250 yds rushing, along with 300 yds passing,
did you watch the miami/fsu joke of a game yesterday? did you see the combined rushing yardage for both those faggott florida schools?
I know, I know, the seer is gonna say its because they both have ferocious defenses, REALLY?
WAKE UP SEER! its 2006, miami and fsu are jokes, zac taylor is a better college quarterback than both quarterbacks playing in florida for fsu and miami,
miami and fsu dont have ferocious anything, LSU sodomized miami, the ONLY reason that miami may go 9-3 or 10-2 is because they face a cupcake each week, fsu included,
miami gets to play FAMU, FIU, houston, and duke, by the way, do half those schools even have football teams?
are you freakin kiddin me?
