Local kid Joe Lauzon gets the nod. Saw him fight back in April where he won a 8 man tourney in pretty easy fashion. His bother Dan made his debut that night also and is considered to be the better fighter in the long run. .
I'd like to see the kid do well, but :deadhorse:

Jens is probably going to beat the bejesus out of him. This is a welcome back to the UFC tune-up fight for Jens.

He'll probably get a title shot against the soon to be annointed LW champ (Sherk or Florian) in a few months.

Sherk OR Florian?

Sorry, I just can't see "Kenflo" surviving the mauling he's going to get from Sherk.

On paper, I agree. That said, Florian has been a monster at 155. He is a phenom on the ground. His BJJ resume is top notch.

Sherk packs about as much muscle and power into a 155 lb. frame as is possible. I could see the fight going like the Diego vs Florian fight where Florian got smashed to pieces in two minutes. But Florian was fighting way out of his comfort range at 185 then. He looks awesome at 155. I'd pick Sherk but I don't think that I would but money on it.

The UFC's LW division is looking incredible with Sherk, Florian, Pulver, Guillard, Stevenson, Franca, Hominick, Fisher, etc.

I hope you put money down on your boy.

7 to 1 underdog is a nice pickup.
