I don't know any details if he had the pot and gun or if it was Harris but both were busted. I'm getting pretty tired of this shit, I hope Mack lays down the law with these kids. Fuck!!!! We can ill afford to lose Brown but it will be worth it if he is dumb enough to pull this shit before the biggest game of the year.

Maybe he was just holding it for Ramonce Taylor. Anyway what a dumbass. I hope they suspend the idiot indefinitely. Even if he is a starter no one needs those distractions.

He was pulled over for a traffic stop, what I don't know is who owned the car, him or Harris. If the car belonged to Harris and it had a little weed and a gun in it then I think Brown was in the wrong car at the wrong time. If it was his car then I think it is all on him and he should be suspended for several games or the entire year depending on how the police handle it.

EDIT: If he was smoking the weed I hope they throw the book at him and kick his ass off the team. Smoking weed and driving is as bad as drinking and driving. This team should show no lenience to that crap.

Rack Vito for the inside.

Here is what's playing so far in the media.

what did they consider the "weapon"? and if it was a gun would it be called "unlawfull carrying firearm"?

Vito - setting the other threads aside  I appreciate the situation you are in. Hopefully Mack kicks your team in the ass harder and faster than Carroll did.
everything to lose, and nothing to gain.

At least your guy was hauling weed and not 137 ecstasy pills :meds:

"Is this a Mr Brown? A Mr Tarrell Brown?"

"Yeah?"

"Hi! You don't know me, but since you're probably looking at transferring all of a sudden please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Larry Coker and..."

According to local news this evening Aaron Harris was driving the car after 2am on I35 when a Travis County deputy initiated a traffic stop for suspected DUI. Harris passed a field sobriety test but admitted to using marijuana and that there was some in the car. Brown and back up LB Tyrell Gatewood were supposedly asleep, but Brown had a loaded handgun in his lap. Supposedly Harris admitted the dope and gun were his but Brown gets the weapons and possession charge as well. Not sure what a star player is doing high on the highway with a loaded gun in his lap. The news then went to say that urine analysis is pending. Not sure how this distraction will effect the team.

Even if the car and weed belong to Harris I'm not sure how he can claim Brown's piss was his; unless they pulled it out of Harris's ass.

For me the piss test is all I need to know, if he has MJ in his urine I hope he is kicked off the team or at lease suspended for several games and forced to take drug counciling.

If I know their dealer, would that mean that I scooped Vito? :D

I'm pretty sure the aggies have someone who has a wife that is working for the dealer that scooped me and you both. :D

BTW I found it on the Rivals.com board so I'm pretty sure all I did was be the bringer of bad news (or great news for Soonerfan). The guys on that board are the ones that broke the story.

I wasn't aware that the urinalysis had come back yet.

Like I said-the weed will turn out to belong to Harris. The car and the gun will belong to Harris. Brown may or may not have THC in his urine. If he does, it'll be a minimal amount and "handled internally." Which really wouldn't upset me if Brown wasn't driving-I don't give half a fuck if someone bakes out.

Kind of interesting that you're the guy who kept claiming that Adrian Peterson was slinging dope last year when it seems that the Longhorns are the ones getting into the sticky-icky lately.
First, I never claimed that Texas players were innocent, I know there are several players that do this shit. Second, the gun is lawfully registered to Brown. Third, the car does belong to Harris and he admitted to smoking the pot while driving. All these things are facts that can't be disputed. There is no conspiracy to distort who owns the car or gun. Harris was driving his car with Brown and Gatewood both asleep in the back.

We don't know why Brown had his loaded gun in his lap he has an excuse but it didn't sound good to me. Like I said, the real test is the piss test, if that comes back positive then I see no reason to believe any of the rest of his story. If it comes back negitive then all he is guilty of is very bad judgement with regard to his gun. As was pointed out on another board, Tarrel Brown is a good student and has not been in trouble before, he more than likely will not be kicked off the team. He will be suspended but for how long we don't know. This is not like the situation with Romonce Taylor who was continually in trouble and was not a serious student. Taylor didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt, for now Brown does.

Like I said, If it was me I would kick his ass off the team if the drug test comes back positive, I would however give him a second chance if he successfully completes his semester and a drug counciling course. But this is Mack's team and he knows his players better than I do, he also knows its his ass if things go astray.

Evidently the gun is registered through the ATF to Gatewood. Either way it was bad judgement and both players will be out for the OSU game. I know the secondary is a strength but Brown was to be the one to try to lock down Ginn. Hopefully it will not be a distraction for the rest of the team because the Buckeyes will bring it.

I've heard several conflicting reports on this. Will have to wait and see. I think this is some dumbass lawyers attempt to sway public opinion. I think that if there was a taser we would have seen it in a police report.

Let me just say that I put nothing beyond the APD. They are known for some brutal shit.

APD: please step out of the vehicle
Brown: Yes sir.
APD: HE'S COMING RIGHT FOR US, SHOOT HIM!
Gatewood: Uh, sir, you just asked us to get out of the car.
APD: THERES ANOTHER ONE, SHOOT HIM TOO!

APD: Everything is under control, but just to make sure, SHOOT THEM AGAIN!

Even though it was the right thing to do, rack Mack for pulling the trigger (no pun intended) on the suspensions. That's pretty ballsey with what's on the line this weekend.

I think Mack did the right thing.

I'm still waiting for the results from the piss test, if they are negitive then I have no problem with bringing them back for next weeks game. If positive then thanks for the memories, but goodbye.

EDIT: I just found out that Tarrell Brown passed the drug test administered by the APD. I'm now satisfied and think we should put all this behind and move ahead. Let the kid sit out this game for being a dumbass and staying out so late, and then bring him back.
