Started listening to Rome back in '99, found out about Smack Chat, started a thread about how Chieffan sucks, exchanged some smack then KCDave introduced me to TNW, then kcclones then T1B and eventually found thetrolls.

I'm actually a little embarassed that I still play this stupid game. I don't mention it to my friends... Years ago when I went to a game with a few of the guys from the boards, my poker group looked at me like I was jtr at a Chipendales tryout.

Ummm, needless to say, I experienced the exact same reaction when I told a few of my co-workers and friends about the trip. All of 'em just kind of staring at me like a bunch of dogs with their heads tilted, listening with that weirded out expression that read "okay, straightjacket time for this one".

Nah, the Arizona trip and the resulting fallout, though perhaps the pinnacle of my decade long "Operation Mindfuck" was in 1998 and was on Elba. My introduction to the world of smack was a series of flame wars in 97 on SCI with Bitter Pat, Mal TVO, Gino in SA and Adrian in Garden Grove.

My bones are all intact and functioning as designed. I used to listen to the local sports radio station in my office (new office doesn't get reception) and Rome was talking about SC so I checked it out, this had to be late 98 or 99 so it was SC II or III. I read the board during lunch and remember laughing my ass off. I didn't register until 99 or 2K and had maybe 25 posts before the shit hit the fan. It wasn't until TOT that I really started posting with any regularity. Fuck all you people for making me waste all this time on the boards instead of working.

Mine was pretty much the same way Bri...got into it with both Gino and Mal TVO (the original). Got schooled by both but came back strong. I think I must have entered SCI only a month or so after you and Big O. In fact, you two were the first to respond to one of my posts positively, though I doubt you guys remember it. Damn...almost ten years...whoa.
