Space Shuttle...up and away!!!

I know there was quite a thread on here when it went up a couple months ago, but bear with me.
It was a clear day today, unlike the last launch. So I go outside to see if I can see anything. I take a look out my backyard toward what I believe to be the northeast. Just as I'm about to give up, after all the Space Center is over 150 miles away, in the distance I see something. From where I am I could see the long smoke plume with an orange glow on top. It looked like a slow rising flare. That shit fired me up.
Time for a beer and some College Football.
Rack NASA and the good old US of A !!
