as a longtime Big 8 fan, in hoops and football.....jeezo.
Montana State beating CU. Chadron State beating Montana State.
Toledo taking two North teams to OT (ISU and KU), and getting whipped 31-10 by Western Michigan in the interim.
Kansas State barely getting by Northern Illinois in week one?
the BIg XII North sucks out loud

KST had to rebuild from the water boy to the offensive line, them struggling is no suprise.
CU wasn't exactly a very good team last year, they lost some quality talent, and new coach, struggle no suprise. i hade them finishing 4th in North.
KU they lost very good linebackers from a very good defense, also losing their playmakers from last year. they werent a offensive juggernaut with those players. Freshman qb, and rebuilding defense equals a struggle.
NU not in upper echelon, still rebuilding, but a good team, who should fight it out for North, favs of conference, they go as taylor goes.
ISU bad defense, horrible offensively, shitty overrated qb/rb duo.The reasoning for them being considered north title contenders was laughable. They are habitual also rans. They will be lucky to finish .500 in North
MU Who knows, still debatable, played noone, new QB, who actually fits Stinkels system(we'll, they actually changed the offense for him) Very good front 7 on defense, good o/line, and very big Wr's, and 2 of best TE in country(rucker and coffman) We'll get a looksy when they go to Tech, till then, i put them as average team, nothing more. SHOW ME GARY STINKEL
I actually only had 2-3 contenders for North before season: NU,MU,KU(ku:wanted to see how they bounced back offensively, ooops) And my MU pick, was based on solid defense, that will allow them to beat cu,kst,ku,and possibly winning one of these games(atm,ou,or tech).
so why are you shocked?

i thought mizzou looked pretty good last week. but Ole Miss looked equally awful. Orgeron seems like a loony and i suspect Reb fans are thinking maybe Cutcliffe wasn't so bad after all.
yeah, hard to get behind Pinkel until he proves he doesn't lay a big ass OOC egg. or beat Kansas.
